Braindance is the second, highly anticipated, collaborative EP from Irish producer DJ Mudak 2000 (@djmudak2000) and French producer FTL (@ftlmusik), landing on their new label as the debut release.

Produced in Dublin & Paris, the two prolific junglists have encapsulated the intricacies of modern jungle while still highlighting the emotive elements of yesteryear.
 
The first track “I Wanna” begins as a fantastically light, classic jungle track with piercing soul vocals that unpacks into a soaring brawl of amens and intense 808s. A great representation of the duality of light and dark elements which make this whole EP a standout.

A2 “Barriers” is a driving, high tempo club ready cut. There is absolutely no messing about with this one, in your face reece business for the peak timers. 

On the flipside, title track “Braindance” is a complex yet ethereal roller carried along by hovering staccato vocals that are contrasted with a deep cutting sub that will hit you in all of the right spots. 

The final track “Chasing A Dream” lives up to its name as its emotive synth lines and Sad Boys-esque cowbells will fill you with the tangible feelings of want and passion.

Dublin producer DJ Mudak 2000 (@djmudak2000) is back on the infamous Braindance for their third release.

Opening things off we have Dubaton, a melancholic yet driving track made up of swirling dubbed-out drums and lush pads which are glued together by a deep hitting sub. This one reaches a beautiful motivating point and is definitely one to seek out on a late night walk home. 

Inertia is a very bright track with Beltran-esque plucks that float over airy chords. These elements accompanied by some expertly filtered subs and a heavy kick pattern drag you back from the sky and remind you that this track can fill the floor just as well as it can accompany you in a daydream. 

Metallic follows in a similar ilk, this time the name of the song references the commanding percussive element of the song which loops  while all the elements around it drift in and out in almost a wave-like manner. 

Now and Then is an amazing yet not too jarring change of pace. Electro arps, footwork jungle breaks and delayed chords make for an incredible amalgamation which erupts into a “tops off” drop of breakbeat euphoria.

Slow Dance is a peak time, half time, monster. This one is made for that transformative moment on a dancefloor when it evolves from coordinated dancing into an all out mosh pit. This track definitely highlights Mudak's prowess as a producer, being able to cover all realms of modern 160 and up in an effortless fashion. 

The final track Wack is far from its namesake. Another dancefloor destroyer, Wack is a weighty, punchy track which will leave you battered and bruised. This track also features an incredible switch up from half time into a more footwork rhythm which will twist crowds minds like a wet rag.

Returning to Braindance for their third release 'Photon Rush EP' is the match made in jungle heaven, DJ Mudak 2000 & FTL.

The EP begins with the title track Photon Rush. This track intricately balances delicate laid elements with a rattling sub bass which will ensure to reel you back from any daydreams that the ethereal pads may inspire.

The second track Ragga Duty is on more of a jazzy tip with dubbed out sound clash vocals under some jabbing rhodes. Eventually this track explodes into amen madness accompanied by dub sirens certain to result in gun fingers galore.

Synthetic Dreams, which has the potential to be a modern classic, is led by some time-travelling chimes which will teleport you back to 1994. Time-stretched vocals lead you into a basement of pounding 808's and whirling breaks sure to erupt any dance floor into chaos.

The final track Real Deal alters from the initial three tracks, as a forward-thinking stepper with a reggaeton affection which would fit seamlessly into any smoked-out dance floor. This one is sure to shake subs in the very early hours of the morning.
