Rhythmic sound design, modular acrobatics, and bass-heavy, SMPL SMPL (aka Simas Petkevičius) takes fractured industrial tropes and intermixes them with rugged downtempo electro. It’s a recipe of fluid electronics from the outer edges, dark and brooding, rolling and rumbling its way through. Have a listen to the opening three tracks (“Crystallization,” “Layers,” and “A Quite Place”)—their penchant for crunchy low-end expanses and soundtrack motifs aligns with artists like Gescom, Einoma, and Richard Devine as well as familiar imprints like Roulette Rekordz (don’t miss SMPL SMPL’s Portals EP from 2021), Cultivated Electronics, and Furthur Electronix. In other words, there’s no mistaking that Mistika is ahead of its time.

Acid Youth is a project started in 2016 by Davide Nicosia, an electronic music producer based in Bologna.
Under the influence of Chicago House, krautrock and EBM, Acid Youth is a blend of troubled basslines, guitars, analogic distortions and overdriven drum machines.
The new 2-track single, "Rough: Take Care," is closely connected to the previous EP, "My Acid," released on Elephant Gait Music. Over the years, Acid Youth has meticulously shaped the aesthetics of its sound, resulting in what can be defined as Post Acid.
'Rough' is a flow of sounds that traverses a tunnel of distortions to reach the light at the end of the track.

Introducing Slow Blink, the latest sonic venture from acclaimed producer Michael Claus, who this time pivots to a more raw, club-centric sound. Under this new moniker, Claus unveils a 5-track EP that radiates raw, rave-inspired energy, marking a stark contrast to his typically more ambient and introspective creations. This release is a resonant journey through overdriven drum machines and subaquatic electro, meticulously crafted for the pulsating heart of the dance floor.

The EP showcases two original tracks by Slow Blink, where Claus delivers a frenetic concoction of saturated rhythms and kaleidoscopic melodies, interwoven with iridescent atmospheres that pulse with vibrant intensity. These are complemented by a special rave edit, a high-energy rendition that intensifies the originals' dynamic energy and is perfect for peak club moments.

Complementing Claus' originals, the EP features two striking remixes by Farsight and Pteron, adding an extra layer of depth to the EP. Farsight's interpretation infuses a bass-heavy rhythm, transforming the original into a breakbeat-driven powerhouse, enriched with a new dimension of funk and bounce. Meanwhile, Pteron accelerates the tempo, reimagining the track as a sub-heavy drum and bass odyssey. This version layers swift percussion over deep basslines, evolving the original melodies into a captivating, rhythmically complex soundscape. Together, these remixes not only pay homage to the essence of Slow Blink's debut but also push it into thrilling new realms.
