For this 126th Premiere of 2023, we have a track by the co-founder of MinimalRome "Teslasonic" (aka Feedback) titled ‘The Frequency’ from his forthcoming mini LP "Foundation" on the Rome-based collective and record label, founded in 2003 by Gianluca Bertasi (Teslasonic) and Valerio Lombardozzi (Heinrich Dressel) and devoted to Electro : MinimalRome.

Teslasonic - Foundation [MinimalRome // MR033]

Foundation is set in the future when the world is barely remembered and humans have colonized the galaxy. The record introduces Donnie Ozone, a brilliant visionary rapper and psychohistorian whose job is to use lyrics and rhymes to predict the future. It is divided into six chapters, each showing a part of the bigger picture portrayed on the outstanding cover by Infidel.

Teslasonic gathers together the galaxy’s top scientists and artists on a bleak outer planet and sets out to preserve the accumulated knowledge of humankind and begin a new human galactic empire based on Art, Science and Technology.
He calls his sanctuary the Foundation and designs it to withstand a dark age of ignorance, barbarism, and warfare that he predicts will last for a long time.

TL PREMIERE : Teslasonic - The Frequency [MinimalRome]

Known for his hardware-harnessing live shows and acidic jams, the Bristol-based Miles Otto’s ‘Skitter’ EP is alive with propulsive electro rhythms and dreamy synth melodies. ‘CV Swizzly’  grabs your attention with its wistful analogue tones and percussive crunch, before a burbling bassline burrows through the arrangement, while the 303-laced ‘Vectron’ takes cues from Detroit electro with its menacing riffs and eerie synth drifts. ‘Skitter’ itself subtly reveals its details layer by layer, with crisp drum machine hits and low tones opening out into mystic harmonies, and Plant43 recasts ‘CV Swizzly’ in his distinct image, adding metallic synth bass and urgent keys to finish the EP in fine style.

The inaugural compilation by Etherwerkz is packed with high-vibrational bass-heavy club music from friends and faves, setting the tone for the Etherwerkz genre-free sound and vision, from etherial experiments heard in the intro by Weightausend, peak time tech-uk funky by Xen Chron, hi-tek hood electro from Soular-Dj Phiene and User Delusion, through bass bangers from Toupaz and Lindenberg Support wrapping it up with 160 bpm tekkerz by Johnny Megabyte and Dj Balance.
