Spacey--working version

This is a slow trip-out groove with a lot of synthesizers, it's a challenge to make non-cheesy synth music and I hope I rose to it.  I picture this song as a soundtrack to a scene where a character comes to a realization in the middle of the night, involving overcoming a perceived difficulty and suddenly finding inspiration in their situation.
Some sonic inspiration came from Radiohead.  I tried to draw out my melody line as I often get stuck in the 4 bar loop from hell.
Made in Ableton with some plugins, and my Korg minilogue synth.

Big ups to my inspirational music partner, Mike!  He brings the geeky technical adventurousness, boundless inspiration, and element of vivid chaos that keep things from sounding like the first version of fruity loops.

Fire

This track arose from a jam Mike and I did.  We started it as a fictional soundtrack/ambient thing but eventually added percussion and drums.   He had the genius idea to use a midi drum kit as a bassline, creating the drone and crazy fills you hear.  He also manipulated the vocal sample to create a choir of young and old people. And that's his voice saying "who's your god now??"  I did the rest.
   Hardware used: Korg Minilogue, old wooden ukulele used as a hand drum,  Dual Launchkey 49's.  Software: ableton
