Five wonderful years have passed for Velvet Vortex and keeping in mind all the people we have crossed paths with, all the lessons we have learned and all the inspiration we have gained – it is time to open a new exciting chapter. Further information will be discovered slowly, but at this moment we are ready to present the Velvet Vortex podcast series. Another branch of VV activity responsible for spreading our passion for deep, ambitious and quality sound in modern electronic music.

We are opening the series with a recording prepared by none other than our long time friend – a skillful and well-respected dj & producer – Luigi Tozzi. His carefully curated selection deftly brings the spirit of Spring, flowing gently like a breeze. Deep, unhurried narrative lets the listener perceive more details in those layered, ethereal sounds. Luigi’s attention to detail and harmony, which he brought to Velvet Vortex events several times already, comes to light once again.

Yukari Okamura is an artist who specialises in a gentle and forgiving sound. Sharing the same characteristics as her productions, her live DJ sets delve deeper into the psychedelic dimension of techno. 
In addition to being a resident DJ at Alpha Kokura Club in Fukuoka, she has also had experiences in Europe, Dubai, and South Africa.

Most remixers' are contempt with utilising the existing vocal. Seldom do we witness the recruitment of an extra MC on a remix, but this crew really wanted to make an impact. 
Phat breaks & booty 808's is the order of the day as the Hitman fires at anything that moves. Martin & Angel are gunning for a peak-time breakbeat burner on this one whilst taking no prisoners. Well let's face it, what Hit Man takes prisoners? 
The Hitman bassline is tightly locked down and it needs to be as Rubi Dan is firing off ragga riddims faster than a Mustang in chase movie.  808 snares & claps drive the rhythm section as Hitman crescendos in a blaze of bass, breaks, 808's and ragga bliss. The only issue a DJ will have with this is one is, what to follow it up with?
