Ninive's name could be already familiar as he's had a couple of great releases on Belgian label Midas Touch Recordings in the past. He's made an excellent twist to Chris.SU & Spinline's Stereotype with the futuristic basslines providing a subwoofer shaking low end to the minimalistic, deep roller a unique vibe.

All puns intended, the brainchild of the label has manifested from three local DJs turned Promoters and Producers from the West Midlands area.

Matt Trotman (Tollgate Shindigs) has been no stranger to the inner workings of the Drum & Bass scene with a history going back as far as the early 2000’s where he established his ‘Nocturnal Combustion’ event in the heart of Coventry booking a whole host of well known acts you see today.

Legends such as Andy C, Ed Rush, Bad Company, Bryan Gee, MC Flux and the mighty DJ SS graced the stage at these events for many years.

Fast forward to 2023 and BrainRave rears its ugly head in the midlands with a brand new forward thinking outlook on the Neurofunk Drum & Bass scene, bringing in new partners and long time friends Ian Gulliver (DJG) and Rob Steele (DJ Lumie) to the team to take the brand to a whole new level. 

Lots to come from BrainRave in terms of events, releases and takeover sets this year and beyond to help rewire the circuitry of the scene as we know it.

*EDIT*  We welcome Dennis McClung (DJ Syn) from across the Atlantic to the BrainRave family with a view to helping with the label and pushing the brand over in the U.S.
