Mit dem ersten Podcast für das Jahr 2020 wiederholen wir etwas, denn die Nummer 98 stammt erneut von Nadine und Marie Midori. Wer unsere Podcast-Reihe verfolgt, dürfte die beiden Berlinerinnen schon musikalisch kennen, falls nicht verweisen wir gern auf den Beitrag zum Jahresanfang 2019: https://www.frueher.com/das-haett-es-frueher-nicht-gegeben-95-nadine-marie-midori/. Das Haett Es Frueher Nicht Gegeben #98 Nadine & Marie Midori

A natural-born digger, Mown has been collecting vinyl for years now, boasting an impressive collection that reflects his eclectic taste in music.

It’s through the moves that punctuated his childhood that Mown developed his knowledge of music and his tastes: metal in the north, zouk, classical music and all kinds of pop in the larger cities of the south of France. Coming of age, he discovers electronic music through artists like Autechre, Björk or Daft Punk.

A passionate and lightly asocial character, he spends large parts of his student life learning how to mix and produce. Following several trips to Berlin, he chooses a path of self-exile to the German capital and draws his budding inspiration in the nordic aesthetic of the old Soviet buildings and the city’s never ending winters.

13_ Lowfeli - L'oiseau D'or

Ophelie’s journey to the dancefloor has seen her play at renowned Berlin clubs such as Salon zur Wilde Renate, Griessmühle and others.
Home-schooled ballerina meets vinyl-hording cat lady.
Born in the French Neanderthal settlement now known as Brittany, she spent her childhood learning how to pirouette like Sylvie Guillem and hunting along the windy coast for wild bats and turtles with her pet cat Cashew.
After surviving Thrombosis and being told she could never dance ballet again, she moved to Lyon to do burlesque but was swept away by the underground rave scene and legendary techno clubs such as Le Sucre.
While hosting and deejaying at parties in the makeshift artist collective ‘Leather and Moustaches’ she was finally offered her childhood dream, the chance to dance for the National Paris Opera, but she said “Nahhh” and moved to Berlin to become a DJ.

Lowfeli, also known as Pavlova or Herr'N Los, is a Berlin based artist that has contributed a lot to the Berlin scene over the years. Running events and managing the bookings in several locations, establishing the fem-focussed series "GrrrlZ" and not to mention her own brain melting selection of vinyl and dj mixes that usually find themselves on the deep and moody side of house, techno and electro. Right now Lowfeli is working on her debut EP for the great Chilean label Panal Records, we cannot wait to hear !
