My microphone kind of crapped out on me, so my vocals aren't the best. This is a demo completely done on the fly, but it sounds amazing. This should give you a taste of the new direction I'm working in.

All recording in Pro Tools. Completely done with my Korg DS-10 on my Nintendo DSi played live by myself.

Russolo's Soundbox (NintendoDSi jam)

Easily some of my darkest work to date. I think this is what it would sound like to go to the dentist on hardcore drugs.
Samples include a projector from the Archlight in Hollywood, record-player, vacuum-cleaner, punching my desk, pieces from 'I Am Charlotte Simmons' audio-book cassette that I found I swiped from a store in Pomona for free and various secret sounds from my growing library.


Morsus Maim (drilling for enamel)

Some of my best work and very sample heavy. The drums consist of clips of vocal samples that have been manipulated to sound like a rhythmic, clock-sounding drum. I used my MicroKorg for the pad and sequenced some arpeggios with MIDI for the bass sounds. The bass sounds were manipulated with my Behringer BCR2000 running CC#s to control parametres of the MicroKorg. This is a demo of a piece that will be featured on my upcoming EP.

I forgot to post the mastered version. Here it is! My cover of Grauzone's 'Eisbär'. Yes, that's me singing my litte heart out; I'm not a vocalist by any means, but I gave it a shot and I don't think I sound bad at all. Enjoy, and look out for this cover to be included in my live sets.

The very first piece of electronic music I've ever written. This was made using Reason 3.0 back in 2005. I found this while going through my old files. All played by hand without a metronome or quantizing function (because I didn't know how).

dismantle to recreate

It all started when I was very small child with my obsession over the sound-palette of the universe. Banging on various surfaces with hands, plucking elastic-bands, and blowing into glass-bottles. How do these curious sound come about? And when you give a child a cassette-recorder and a keyboard for their birthday that curiosity grows beyond capacity. I remember recording sound on my Yak-Bak until the batteries died. 

Then, I started playing guitar and then bass-guitar. Which is different than playing toy-keyboards and draining the battery of Yak-Bak toy. I played bass-guitar for various metal/hardcore/punk bands in my teen years. A little guitar here and there, but nothing was very satisfying. 

It wasn't until I was 17 that I got my first synthesiser; a Microkorg. This is when the old-world of sound I knew evolved into this aural majesty of synthetic-audio insanity. From then on I've been drawn to found-sound, sample-cutting, audio-collage, noise and untraditional song-structure. 

This is a brief introduction to my world...more to come.
