After netting over 4 millions soundcloud plays in 2014, 2015 started out really strong for Unlike Pluto. His first release was a bootleg of Diplo - “Revolution”, which today has a combined 4 million listens alone on Soundcloud. Now he’s set to do the rest of the year really big starting off with his KickRaux-collab “Palace” + the b-side "Tew". KickRaux first gained wide-spread attention following the release of his “OG Bobby Johnson” remix with Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire. He's since gone on to do official remix for the likes of Migos, Flosstradamus plus many others. Lately, he's has been hard at work bringing his unique sound to dancehall while working on EPs for Reggae legend Jah Vinci and more.

There’s almost nothing better than listening to "Palace". The soundscape is amazing with a drop synth that sounds likes a swarm of 50 ft mutant killer bees invading your city and builds as emotional as a funeral for 1000 beached dolphins. The b-side is “Tew”, a perfect soundtrack to Jodorowsky’s Dune if it were to come to ever come to life. It's the beautiful sound of a 5 headed humanoid malfunctioning and slowly dying while it livestreams its demise to a record execs in a far off galaxy. Its solar batteries drain due to the sun being extinguished forever but he will live on in another world.

Next up in the Record Store Residency slot is Rise Records from Bristol, with a beautifully crafted mix by Situation spanning the genres. They told us;
‘‘This was mixed in three frenetic eye-straining sessions, after hours in my studio at home. It was fun but challenging to tie together the choices from 10 or 12 people (staff members) into a cohesive listening experience! As a store, Rise has a pretty broad range of music, genre-wise, and couple that with many of the staff members producing and releasing their own material, it made for a really interesting combination of sounds, and some pretty leftfield transitions. Hopefully people like it!’’

Paulo W works at Rise and is part of Situation Sounds, a collective of DJs, producers, editors and musicians, based in the Southwest. They are the founders of the label Situation, Situationism and have recently released an album called ‘’It's A Beautiful Life’’ on Our Records.

Once, there was the ordinary incandescent light bulb. It shone brightly, but wasted much of the energy put into it as heat. Then came the compact fluorescent. And as costs have dropped, consumers have increasingly been switching to light-emitting diode (LED) technology for many lighting applications, in an ongoing search for a more efficient bulb. Now, in work published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, researchers report that nanophotonic devices may be able to breathe new life into old incandescent technology. Marin Soljačić and Ognjen Ilic, two authors of the study, explain how they’ve been able to “recycle” some of the incandescent bulb’s wasted heat and re-emit it as visible light, boosting efficiency.

Roger Gabriel was born in Liverpool, England and spent his formative years in the United Kingdom. He first learned meditation there in the early 1970s. It instantly became his passion and he soon trained to be a meditation teacher under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

After moving to the U.S., Roger began studying Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of health care. In 1985, while helping to establish centers for Ayurveda and meditation, he met and became friends with Deepak Chopra. Since then, Roger has assisted Deepak with numerous training programs, seminars, and workshops; taught thousands of people on all continents to meditate; and helped to train hundreds of people to become teachers of meditation, Ayurveda, and yoga.

Roger has been blessed to meet and study with great teachers in India and the West, and he has traveled extensively in India. He incorporates much of what he has learned in his practices and teaching. In 2006, Roger received his spiritual name Raghavanand from Shree Satuwa Baba Maharaji of Varanasi, India.
