We breathe in oxygen, transform it into carbon dioxide and breathe out. One simple witness of transforming matter. With this album I became aware of this inevitable movement and my deeply rooted need to live that. So I could not restrict myself any longer not to surrender to it, to the creative flow.
Very new and important to me was to collaborate with such immensely talented artists. It has elevated and transformed my production skills & process. I feel very honored to connect, learn and transform matter - together.

Galtier enters for his fifth instalment on his own label with ‘Opaque Envelopes’; an exploration of frequency and tilted sound processing across four slick, mid-tempo creations. Having leant heavily into hardware-focused productions, Galtier has refined his use of raw, one-take recordings and hand-crafted audio inflections, carving out a space dripping with feedback channels, aggressive modulation and dense, weighty sub bass, the collection makes for a set of highly functional, warehouse-ready rollers.

The EP carries itself along a subtle, evolutionary line, where Galtier hones in on transient, shifting soundscapes of rich, searing synthetics, all glued together with tight, syncopated rhythms that channel dubstep and electro. The intention is for each piece to sound alive; teeming with a life of its own, full of personality and vitality that breathes throughout. A significantly mature body of work that encapsulates the decade and a half journey into sound that he has embarked on.

Iggy Dope’s EtherwerkZ label continues its higher assembly of bass futurists with the third Ascension compilation. Volume 3 scours the globe to find Mulholland, Mercy System, Flaty, Oyubi ,Warzou, NirBorna, Young Muscle and noRecall in finest form, cross-examining variations on the theme of broken club rhythms and meticulous sound design.

One of the tracks on the VA, 'Phantom Currency' is Lyon’s Warzou tight LFO’d jaunt of ghoulish dynamics.

MR006 crashes in straight from Brno, carving out a sonic current mirroring the ever-mutating scene. COUNT’s latest EP, a playful yet razor-sharp exploration of sound, provides a pack of oddly satisfying rollers. Spanning a spectrum of 140+, this four-track offering blends three originals with a remix from HEDO HYDR8 

THIRD TAKE starts off with CONVULSE, a pacey breakbeat track created to shake the early (and quicker) hours of the morning. The project then takes a more introspective approach as FIREWALL BLOCK rolls into the #2 stop. With a similarly quick BPM register, FIREWALL BLOCK employs traces of dub and jungle along its varied storyboard. Coming up next is BLACKTAIL, a headbanger turned electro track suitable for a variety of people, places, and things. Bring up the caboose* is a remix from HEDO HYDR8. This time it's a fully pumped up techno remix of the aforementioned track.

'Trigger·Response' is the third V/A released by Craquages and the first of their curation series, in which their residents share their own artistic vision.

ergen101 made this project a space where artists could freely explore the intrinsic contradictions and connexions of themes like oppression & freedom, softness & harshness or trauma & resilience, through an experimental, deconstructed club (or not club) & bass aesthetic.
It tells a story of humanity, of past experienced as present and how we can now act on it : Trigger & Response.
