Despite being friends for years and sharing a similar passion with similar influences, Riyell and Estebahn have so far never managed to DJ together in a sober state before. The high point of their collaboration being a ten-hour back to back set on top of a mountain last summer, they decided to try and come up with a mix in which they actually remember what they played. Beatrice M.'s Bait invites Trois-Quarts Taxi System back into the fold for both the artist’s and label’s debut album release, ‘Plexus’. Leaning into innovative 140 mutations, Trois-Quarts Taxi System dedicates his first long-format release to exploring the depth of this space and stepping away from his usual 170/80 sound. A deep meditative journey of introspection.

Taking the name ‘Plexus’ from a key he found in the street, the album is split into various parts with the heart of album comprised of three parts of ‘Plexus’ - drone-like soundscapes which retrace different states using a variety of acoustic and electronic sounds combined with samples from an anonymous cassette found in the street. This hybridisation of sound is often influenced by ideas Trois-Quarts Taxi System comes across whilst working on his live shows; an artistic practice that is very important to his output. On this occasion, Trois-Quarts Taxi System has used this extended period to explore the bridge between dubstep, techno and experimental, pieced together with quiet ambient moments.

With a stream of fascinating appearances Cleyra’s singular production has caught the ears of some of the most adventurous DJs and heads around the world. One of Bristol’s best-kept secrets now lands on Timedance with their sumptuous debut EP ‘remember this body?’. Charged with a juxtaposition between feverish peak time and dreamy downbeat, the producer here displays a sonic palette which is as eerie as it is advanced.

On ’remember this body?’ Cleyra offers a kaleidoscopic view of their diverse approach to crafting songs, nourished with a deep, emotional and seductive energy. Across five tracks we take a deep dive into Cleyra’s idiosyncratic worlds. Subdued pads carry us through lucid-dream-inducing soundscapes where strangeness and elegance go hand in hand. Then come playful twists, as a harder side to their sound is unleashed, engineered to alight the sweatiest and most mutant of dancefloors.

On the flip side, Cleyra takes listeners on a breathtaking ride over the course of a 17-minute epic ’There Is Nothing Happening Between Us’, navigating between mournful ambience and heads-down pulsating Techno with a grace and delicateness rarely heard. The track fades before bringing things home with lush, dubbed-out, synths, suspending time with a poignant elegance.

Label co-founder Tal Fineman launches new alias @faulteruk with Obstinacy, a 4-track EP that showcases his penchant for cutting edge, contemporary club sounds.

Spanning a broad spectrum of energy, Obstinacy balances heads-down groove with a meticulous, measured approach to songwriting.

A record of two halves, the EP opens with two peak-time bombs designed to ignite warehouse dancefloors worldwide. First up is the unrelenting techno weapon ‘Perspectives’ (file in your wormhole playlist) followed by a slamming, in-your-face electro wobbler, ‘Data Spike’.

The ‘B-side’ shifts towards deeper shades and organic textures, with the dub techno & minimal-leaning title track 'Obstinacy' - an ideal layering tool for like-minded DJs. Finally, the EP closes with 'Zaf (Dub Mix)', a brooding, delay-laced gem that rounds out the release on a moody note, hinting at much more to come.

SF’s Pteron returns to Ommaya Records following last year’s split EP Egosphere with kk.Shucko, offering an immense excavation of tension and rhythmic mystery on Alpheratz. The opening’s quiet pull intensifies until it parts like a veil, revealing a meticulously sculpted deep-space landscape. “Che” and “Outer Orbit” push deeper into fog-laden percussive interplay, perfectly suited to a Bay Area warehouse. "Face Off" delivers sharp-edged, gritty bass manipulations and rhythmic shards that feel crafted for techno wayfarers in pursuit of the ever-elusive drop.

Remixes arrive from Brooklyn’s Sobolik, key member of Kindergarten Records and All Centre, and SF scene staple Oso Feo of Sutro FM, each reframing the EP for distinct underground territories. Sobolik’s take on “Alpheratz” channels the original’s tension into shimmering polyrhythms and expansive synthwork, opening the track into a luminous, trance-adjacent space, while Oso Feo’s remix of “Face Off” strips it into a low-slung, slow-burning roller that hums with restrained intensity, tailor-made for dawn-lit dance floors.

Despite him being AWOL for the past six months, our revered friend Mr. Bodenständig always seems to find a way of getting in touch with the crew, and his methods are as unconventional as his music. This Monday morning, a few hours before our radio show deadline, we received a mysterious package at the Brainwaves headquarters in Geneva, containing a reel of tape with two hours worth of music carefully selected by the master himself. It was difficult to establish where exactly the package came from but going by the stamps, it seems to be one of the Central Asian countries. We’re not sure what Thomas is doing at the moment, but he seems to find time to send us the occasional gift.
