tactual's third release, ilinx play, borrows a term used by Roger Caillois to describe games based on the pleasurable pursuit of altered perception. each track, albeit with it's own unique frame of reference, possesses a sense of motion, a playing-with-movement, they fold, curve and cycle, forming a new set of rules - a new game. 
from Mata Disk's swirling pads, to the dizzying, gravitational drum barrage of Camille Altay and Dominowe, to the arcing stabs of Jay Duncan and Austen, ilinx play embodies five tracks of club-functional sonic vertigo.

MR006 crashes in straight from Brno, carving out a sonic current mirroring the ever-mutating scene. COUNT’s latest EP, a playful yet razor-sharp exploration of sound, provides a pack of oddly satisfying rollers. Spanning a spectrum of 140+, this four-track offering blends three originals with a remix from HEDO HYDR8 

THIRD TAKE starts off with CONVULSE, a pacey breakbeat track created to shake the early (and quicker) hours of the morning. The project then takes a more introspective approach as FIREWALL BLOCK rolls into the #2 stop. With a similarly quick BPM register, FIREWALL BLOCK employs traces of dub and jungle along its varied storyboard. Coming up next is BLACKTAIL, a headbanger turned electro track suitable for a variety of people, places, and things. Bring up the caboose* is a remix from HEDO HYDR8. This time it's a fully pumped up techno remix of the aforementioned track.

CCL launches their subglow label with Rebuild, an EP from Bristol club provocateur @georg-i, featuring remixes from Metrist and the elusive B. McQueen.

After years of lighting up the dance floor at subglow and serving as a cornerstone in club sets, Rebuild is finally getting an official release to the public. georg-i’s previous releases on Perko’s FELT and aya & BFTT’s YCO imprints have established him as an incendiary club constructor probing the fringes of contemporary dance music. The release will be accompanied by poetry from subglow co-conspirator and artist Nadia Marcus, co-founder of Berlin experimental publishing platform TABLOID Press.

Informed by the restlessness of living in an apocalyptic present and the desire to rebuild the broken systems surrounding us, Rebuild is influenced by math rock's feverish and cataclysmic energy, eschewing conventional club BPMs in favour of dizzying tempo trickery and polymetric wizardry. “Torn In Two” gets off to a slow, chugging start, with raucous synths riffing over emphatic drums, but soon swirls into a juddering, pointillistic frenzy. “Bridging The Gap” is a cathartic shout, an acidic crescendo whose triplet meter offers tempo-transitioning opportunities for adventurous DJs who don’t mind a bit of maths. “Communication” gallops along cathartically through ricocheting synths and drums, unfolding into a thrilling breakdown. On remix duties, B. McQueen re-imagines “Torn In Two” as a sultry, dubbed-out roller, charting groove across a heady plain, while Metrist’s ambitious rework of “Communication” amps up the tension and primes it for a peak-time dancefloor sometime in the next millennium.

Both meditative and floor-focused, her live sets and productions drift through eerie textures and fractured rhythms, always with a quiet, deliberate intensity.
