Brain Wraught is an apex predator. Formed in the sweat-slick back rooms of Oklahoma City summer 2018, the group began as a volatile performance art experiment between MC GASH and conceptual sound artist Brett Stevens. Their debut, THE TIGER THE FLESH, arrived later that year—an unfiltered purge of industrial beats, scorched-earth lyricism, and guttural vulnerability.

By 2019, THE MEAT SHOP had surfaced. A furious expansion in both scope and sound, the record introduced GRUCK (Tulsa’s own psychopath) into the fold, solidifying Brain Wraught’s tri-core lineup. The project sharpened its teeth on America’s economic rot with Year End Savings Event, a post-capitalist fever dream of a record released in late 2019 that made waves in the underground circuit and beyond.

Then came NEBRASKA PLATES (2020). Both a requiem and an arrival, the album channels abandoned interstates, fast food signage, and the hollow glow of gas station LEDs into some of the most searing, unclassifiable music in hardcore rap today. Part manifesto, part exorcism, Brain Wraught isn’t just a group—it’s a living artifact of a country chewing through itself.

Now, after five years of relative silence, the long-anticipated follow-up is almost here. Bottomless Brunch—arriving summer 2025—is set to be their longest, most coherent release yet, and fans are already foaming at the mouth.
