Tectonic seduction, the beauty within the chaos. Passionate waves crash into the unwavering natural law and wisdom of the Earth. Smoothed crystal striations catch the eye that follow trails deep into geologic time, a place so ancient and vast these synaptic clefts cannot hold or fathom. 

The idea for the title of the mix was conceived as I explored around a rocky point along the far north coast of California. Here, along the shore of the cold Pacific, is an outcrop of stone with blue/gray and white bands aligned vertically, jutting upward perpendicular from the shore. Smooth and cool to the touch I ran my hands across its surface, my nervous system experiencing the textures and colors of millions of years of geologic time. In sensorial and intellectual awe of the Earth that birthed this life, I was in a state of Tectonic seduction. 

Duality and juxtaposition are lines I dance across. Waves pulsing against stone, our softness, beauty, depth, hard edges, power, water, and stone. These dualities were the driving aesthetics for this mix.

Having an ear in scenes on the cutting edge of dance floor curation up and down the west coast Brajan has naturally stepped behind the decks to inspire embodiment, connection, and play through a diversity of musical flavors and textures from around the world. As a DJ he has opened for An-Ten-Nae, Govinda, Minnesota, and Kowta, as well as rocking ecstatic dance scenes from Kaua’i to Arcata CA.
