HOLY Metal Box Mix

This is a mix focusing on percussive dub and roots. I put it together after a DJ gig where I had the pleasure of playing a longer than normal set which enabled me to be a bit self indulgent in the first hour and just play percussive drum based music which seemed like a nice way to set the tone for the rest of the evening. When I got back home I thought it was a good opportunity to try to capture that moment by putting  a quick mix together before the records returned to my chaotic filing system (or lack of it) probably never to be seen again for several years.

Drums (in particular Nyabinghi) play a central role in reggae and dub and I hope this mix captures some of the spiritual transcendence they deliver.
