As she walks around the shore of the Wunda crater, looking up at Uranus, she combs the rocky sand with her fingers.  Patterns of unnerving imagery lay at her feet as she stands and moves further along the rim of the Wunda crater.

The wreckage strewn across from the two ship that didn't survive the crash landings scarred itself into Vera's mind.  People she had trained with she, the crew that was supposed to help her succeed and return from this mission, were all scattered about with the parts for the laboratory and greenhouses.  

Begrudgingly, she began gathering all that she could salvage and set it up to return it to the lab she had already set up from the ship she was on that crash landed as well.  "Can I really survive this?" she whispered to herself inaudibly.

Hiding away again, Vera starts to feel her psychological stability falling apart.  She continues to pray to anything that will hear her pleas to save her from losing herself while trapped alone so far away from home, and no sign of hearing from Vincent and his team.

Vera sits in the vestibule of her laboratory looking out into the darkness of the caves that she resides within.  Doing her best to shrug off the despondency of her isolation, she suits up and walks to the surface to watch the stars twirl about as Umbriel swings around Uranus. 

She comes upon a large rock formation and scales her way to the top.  Getting comfortable on a large, flat section, she gazes out and wonders if she'll ever see anyone ever again.

Headphones On 01 - Outside with LP 01

"Yada, yada, yada da...dada dada....daaaa....uhhh...." she stopped moving. Her hands holding her head, she felt herself starting to slip.  Perhaps this solitude and no response has started to get to her she thought.  

"How much longer before I have to face this lonliness and anger? How much more can I take?"  she said outloud to herself, like normal at this point.  Crouching by one of the fold down tables, she rocked back and forth holding herself.  She trembled while her arms were wrapped around her body trying to comfort and console herself long enough to enact protocol 7-3Z6A.

She had finished assembling two more sections of greenroom that she had recovered from one of companion ships which had crashed approximately 10km northwest of the cave system that she inhabited.  Having all of rooms full of greenery that was thriving due to the purity of the concentrated Co2 ice that she had been sublimating to feed them, thus creating an inhabitable environment.

She spent a lot of time talking to the plants, but she knew that with the anger and desperation welling up inside of her and reaching its breaking point closer and closer each day, that she had to set the system to run the automation that she had programmed.
Shortly after this, she collapsed into the decent of madness.

Locking herself away from the lab for a 2 week set period on the locks themselves, she had all her basic needs in this room she had been living in as her own little apartment.  The few remnants of what she brought from Earth out here decorated the shelving and table space.  She had even brought a few ferns into this space to add a little life to the otherwise dull looking room.  

She started to cry. She started to cry tears of horrific sadness and dispair. Thrashing her body about and beating on the metal walls, her screams reached the spectrum of blood curdling wails.  She had finally abandoned all hope of ever seeing another human being again.  She was truly in Hell.  After running around in circles screaming bloody murder, she tripped over the leg of her bed. As soon as her head hit the ground, she blacked out.

Vera awoke 2 days later with a massive headache and a parched mouth.  
She went straight for the water.

Looking up at the sky, Lydia and Shawn wondering if they would ever see their father and aunt ever again.  They were among the few that were there to see the two crews before they launched for the two distant moons surrounding Uranus, Titania and Umbriel.  

Holding her breath, Lydia said a prayer for their safe return.  Shawn, his jaw agape, grabbed her and pointed at the sky.  Why were there two distinct moons in the sky above them? The Earth only has one moon, or so they thought.

Dual Moon Conspiracy Pt. A

The Best Yet

Looking up at the sky, Lydia and Shawn wondering if they would ever see their father and aunt ever again.  They were among the few that were there to see the two crews before they launched for the two distant moons surrounding Uranus, Titania and Umbriel.  

Holding her breath, Lydia said a prayer for their safe return.  Shawn, his jaw agape, grabbed her and pointed at the sky.  Why were there two distinct moons in the sky above them? The Earth only has one moon, or so they thought.

In an instant, before their very eyes, something moved over in front of the moon that was closer the the southern skies, almost like an eclipse, but much more mechanical. It was as if someone or something knew what they had seen and quickly cast an illusion. It was as if it was never there. 

Lydia looked at her brother and said with confidence,  "Vera was right."

Dual Moon Conspiracy

One afternoon in the kitchen of Vera's house, Lydia sat on a barstool eating a turkey and miracle whip sandwich. Her aunt smiled at her with an endearing look. "Why does dad insist that I spend so much time over here?" 
Vera cringed, she hated the word 'dad'. It brought back memories of her and Vincent's father, among other things. "Well, maybe he wants my smarts to rub off on you." She gave a chuckle and smirk. "Even though we both went through graduate school, he ended up in the military, whereas I get contracted by them. Much more lucrative position, he would agree."
Lydia's eyes flashed with a curiosity that Vera had never witnessed in all her time with her niece. "So....what exactly do you do? Top secret stuff I bet..." She grinned and took another bite of her sandwich. 

"Actually...come with me." Vera had a mischievously wicked grin on her face that almost frightened the poor girl. With her nerves tingling and hair on end she dropped the sandwich and jumped off the stool following her aunt into the hallway leading to the bedrooms.  She stopped at a door that Lydia had never paid attention to before, believing it to be an extra closet. Opening the door led to a set of stairs that they descended into a very posh lounge. Decorated with very fine chases, loungers, and other seating arrangements, coupled with glass top tables forming a circle around the center of the room.  The walls were of a lush rose red, and the carpet like velvet burgundy. Lydia's jaw hung open in amazement.

Vera then stepped to the side of a bookshelf that was oddly misplaced at least 2 ft from the wall it was supposed to rest against. "This isn't what I'm here to show you." Her tone and demeanor shifted quickly to a serious note, "Come here so I can show you the code to get in my lab for safety, just in case."

"I know if I make it back, they're going to pay for this."
