To kick off our NZ Music Month mix series, we have none other than Christchurch legends and rising talents Pirapus!

Pirapus, made up of George Murray and Ben Hollamby (aka Tex), is a dancefloor drum and bass duo out of Christchurch, New Zealand. With an ever-growing list of releases and collaborations, Pirapus’ intense yet catchy tunes are quickly making their mark on the NZ dnb scene. George and Tex’s backgrounds range from hip-hop to classical music, but it was their obsession with drum and bass which brought them together during university. Now, Pirapus’ various musical influences translate to their diverse catalogue of dnb music, making their DJ sets entertaining and loaded with energy.

Up next as part of our NZ Music Month showcase is Jeddy Beats. Jeddy is one of the undisputed kings of the underground in NZ. With cutting edge production on heavy, rolling tunes and a USB full of tunes to back it all up, Jeddy is one to keep an eye on in the near future. With huge tunes such as Shadow Starr & Reflex, Jeddy is carving out his own sound in the NZ scene right now.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more well-rounded kiwi bloke than Witters. 
With the Gizzy local putting some huge single releases under his belt, as well as a slot on R&V's main stage last year, Witters is leading the charge for up and coming DJ's and producers in NZ. And he can really tear up the wheels of steel too.

You can't talk about DJ's who've made the jump to production in NZ without talking about Sly Chaos. The trio have been making waves for time with their high energy, technical mixing abilities, supporting some of the biggest in the game and racking up a few headline shows in the process. 
Now adding production to the arsenal, the Sly boys have come out the gates swinging with tunes like Roll Call, Check it and a remix of Harper Finn's Dance Away These Days, and have garnered international attention from touring DJ's passing through NZ.

With a special Sunday Session edition of our NZ Music Month series, UK-born Christchurchian Monika gives us a special mix, with 95% original tunes and collaborations!

Monika has been making his own distinct, airy liquid sound for time, but don't get it twisted, he can still dig into deeper cuts when the time is right. A versatile, cultured DJ, Monika is a kiwi artist worth keeping your eyes on in the future.

With a release on NZ's own SBK records, with a nationwide headline tour to boot, as well as a release on Plasma Audio's latest VA, Hound is keeping the dark and dangerous side of DnB alive and well. For this episode of our NZ Music Month series, Mylen is stepping up to the plate!

It's been a hectic year for Mylen, with his debut single release on Lunchbox Records, Galaxy, garnering over 45k streams on Spotify, and following it up with an international release on T&Sugah's High Tea Records VA. All the while, Mylen has been dialling in his signature dancefloor sound in his sets, setting events on fire up and down the country!

As we draw to a close on our NZ Music Month Mix series, we welcome MJ to the stand. 

Rising talent based in Christchurch, MJ was discovered as part of an all-wahine DJ competition last year, in which she won the chance to play at the UCSA's Tea Party alongside NZ Music's biggest names such as Flowidus, Montell2099, Trei, and Tali & Chiccorelli. Since then, MJ has been tearing up lineups in Christchurch with her deep, unique take on DnB, supporting international acts Monrroe, Wilkinson, Halogenix, and Kanine (Twice!).

To round out our NZ Music Month Mix series, we're graced by one of the baddest women in NZ Music, Paige Julia.

Paige has been a staple of the scene for time, and recently has been on an absolute tear, touring all over the country, having just finished an album release tour for her highly acclaimed Morphling, and is about to get back on the road touring her brand new Dreams EP, coming out on Unchained Recordings.

Moving from strength to strength, we couldn't think of anyone better to close the series off. With half an hour of heavy dubstep, banging halftime and crisp jungle, this is a phenomenal mix from one of NZ's premier talents.

AziFm comes out strong in our first drum and bass installment of the SPOTLIGHT mix series, blending a mix of easy listening liquid with some heavy, rolling tunes. The perfect sunday session to relax, and remember the great times from the night before.
