Berlin based Luigi Di Venere is one of the most exciting presences in electronic music. His musical style is rooted in Italo house and cosmic Italo disco, techno, New Beat, trance, and he is especially known for his luxurious cosmic soundscapes and explosive combinations. Di Venere also runs his own club nights including Maximum Joy in Berlin and Power Dance Club in Athens and Berlin and he is a regular feature at Berghain/Panorama Bar. 

Di Venere can be found managing the Phonica Records satellite in Berlin’s The Stores X, and expanding his label with Neu Verboten, Philoxenia Records. Di Venere enjoys a number of exciting musical collaborations, including Banana Moon (with Massimiliano Pagliara), SolidAir (with Jules Etienne), Affekt Unit (with Neu Verboten).

The 'STUDY ON FALLING'  is a journey into the anatomy of mankind's most universal burden; the fear of death, oblivion and the vertigo of living between two voids. The choreography and soundtracks created for this project reflect both the angst and the relief of understanding one's own mortality.
 
Since its first presentation in 2016, I presented the piece both as a rigger and as a model, experimenting with a few variations of perspective and emotions towards the subject and choreography.

Last night, as the world’s most stylish people continued to flock to the city that once commissioned Leonardo da Vinci, Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s CEO and chairman, hosted an intimate dinner following the presentation of the brand’s Genius project, now in its third installment.

Beneath 30-foot archways, the romantic dinner, designed by the talented Patrick Kinmonth and Antonio Monfreda, melded the old and the new. Rows of handsome men in traditional white military capes greeted guests, many of whom sported winter coats despite the springlike weather. The setting—a courtyard in the Comando Militare Esercito Lombardia—lent a sense of history to an event honoring young creatives. On pale stone walls, gongs glittered in the light of firepits. Medieval melodies by Lorenzo Ambrogio cast a celestial calm throughout the space. Straw and laurel arrangements were scattered across the floor. In a wing of the old academy, waiters served a vegetarian feast prepared by Davide Oldani, a Michelin-starred chef.

The designs on display, however, were entirely contemporary. Each piece fused technology with design. The Moncler collaborators in attendance included Pierpaolo Piccioli, Craig Green, Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha, Francesco Ragazzi, Sandro Mandrino, Veronica Leoni, Sergio Zambon, and Matthew Williams. The other guests—like Luka Sabbat, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Millie Bobby Brown—reflected the youth and diversity of Moncler Genius.

The evening cemented Milan not only as home to many of the most influential houses of the 20th century (Ferragamo, Versace, Gucci, Prada, and, of course, Moncler) but a laboratory for new visionaries, eager to add their creations to the pantheon of fashion greats.
