Combining experimental bass with beautiful melodies and mesmerizing soundscapes, Colorado based producer Jared Dupré aka Duper is here to take you on a journey. He started DJing in 2013 at the age of 15,  and started producing in 2014 after wanting to take a deeper dive into electronic music. As the years have gone by, Duper has evolved his sound with the goal in mind of creating not just bangers, but a full on experience and he has refined his music to reflect that. From bending genres to fostering positive energy, Duper is here to make an impact.

The Shock Wave EP is a glimpse into what can happen when Duper taps into the deeper side of his music production. Featuring 2 tracks with slamming drums and pumping subs made for the big sound systems, he aims to send a Shock Wave through sound waves.

My goal with these 2 tracks was to tap into the deeper side of dubstep and bass music focused on sound system culture. I started by putting together some heavy electronic beats with driving hats and thick kicks. The other big focus in constructing these tracks was the Sub, which for me was a unique challenge because I'm used to using a lot more sound design. After dialing in the sub with the beat and making sure it was evolving and didn't feel too stagnant, I filled in the space with some foley, obscure percussion, and complimentary sound design mostly done in serum or through sample manipulation. The focus was mostly bass and sound design with these so not as many melodic elements, but I hope you enjoy my take on the deeper side of bass music.
