I chose to rework this music from my earlier dance piece "Four Friends" and breathe new life into it. Nao Aizawa approached me about using and adapting "Four Friends" for her improvised choreography piece about the body and movement being in a constant flux.

Behind The Mask from "Absent of Me"

This is my original score for "The Other Side of Life". It is a short film by Erica Aloia, a student at CSULB, about an up and coming comedian who's grandfather has Alzheimer's disease. The story follows Frankie as she tries to get her act together for an important upcoming show while also taking care of her grandfather. The a great blend of comedy and drama and it has been a joy scoring it. The score is still in progress (these uploads are the opening and closing cues + credits) but will be finished soon. 

Credits

This is my score for "Dies Irae", a student animation film by Rianna Liu at CSULB. The story is set in Salem during the witch trials in 1692, and follows Ira who tries to save her dying brother with her powers. Her brother sacrifices himself when the village finds out, causing Ira to unleash her full strength and annihilate the village. It was an exciting project for me because I got to tackle a lot of challenges in the scoring. I hadn't scored something that was set in a dark world with violence and the music had to be continuous for the entire film. To top it all off, I wrote my very first full orchestral cue and it was recorded by the Bob Cole Conservatory Orchestra!
