Record store owner, DJ, producer, and digger extraordinaire @tomnoble comes to RNT with a superb edits EP of sought-after Caribbean and African sounds. The A side burns hot right out of the gate with the explosive and percussive Soca-disco pulse of They Came To New York, then settles into the laid back lilt of Zouk Pour Esa. On the flip, Disco Massamba is a wild ride of an Afro-disco burner and Parang-A-Teng brings it back to the Western hemisphere for some Latin-tinged funk from Barbados. Well worth it for the value of the original source material alone, this 12” is nothing short of dance floor destruction!

Less than a year after the release of their first EP with brilliant Parisian editor Chevals, Mister T. records are back with a new 12” EP showcasing Brazilian edits by Joutro Mundo, one of Rio’s hottest producers. Famous for revisiting Brazilian hidden jewels, Joutro Mundo has become a reference in the electronic music scene of Rio. He has recorded several reworks on his own label, Outra, and released EPs on Mareh Music and Midnight Riot.
He’s now joining Mister T. Records with a 3-track EP demonstrating his ability to deal with all the facets of Brazilian music. With “Jangada”, he managed to shape a great party track full of Boogie rhythms - and its furious percussions - reinforced with funky guitar riffs and sharp synths, while in “Inferno”, he kept the melancholic atmosphere from the original record. Finally, “Melo Do Camelô” is certainly the EP's most dancefloor-oriented track with its thumping tropical groove and the artist's trademark hypnotic acid touch. This record perfectly reflects Joutro’s digging / producing skills and the EP’s summery vibes will delight Brazilian music lovers and DJs!

The 4-tracks covers a wide spectrum of feelings, from spaced out reggae to french boogie to blue-eyed-disco to classic house. All interwoven in their signature sound.

"La Nuit" starts the EP with a "I can't believe it's not a Madonna track" french boogie pop track with a bassline that can move mountains.
"Feel our Love" and "Keep on Loving" cruises the fine line between funky uptempo disco and melancoly, creating a beautifully soul-groove that echoes The Loft or Paradise Garage.
"Caribean Queen" ends up smoothly with a cosmic, dubbed out approach lending the vocals from one of the early 80ies biggest billboard hits.

La Nuit

Hell Yeah call upon their merry crew of grown up groove makers to revisit key tracks from Quiroga's widely acclaimed Passages album, with Whodamanny, Jazz N Palms, A Vision of Panorama and My Friend Dario all stepping up.

The original album was noted as Piccadilly Records's Best Balearic Album of 2019 and a year on is still providing solace for us in these strange times. First to add his own spin to it is Periodica associate Whodamanny from Naples, whose magical take on 'Martinica Feelings' made it onto the excellent recent Buena Onda compilation, which is out now. It is a big hearted vocal reinterpretation filled with stomping kicks and twisted synths that bring the funk next to withering sci-fi effects and happy piano chords.
