OK, so this song is not a "TOTAL-FEBRUARY SONG" ....I wrote only the words "Go Back Home You're Wasting Time" and the melody for the rest of the chorus in like July and then just forgot about it.  In the first week of february this year, I was scrolling through my phone's song notes looking for ideas and I came across this.  So I finished it and uploaded it for FAWM.  hope that's cool...

It's a remix rendition of the Psy Song "Gangnam Style" so I don't really know how legit or legal this even is for the law, and for the FAWM challenge.  We were talking about how much we loved the broccoli and cheese sauce we had just ingested as part of our delicious lunch.  It was grand.

I went to this really awesome real estate investment seminar this weekend.  I learned a lot.  But inevitably, in the middle of the second day they totally turned a corner from real estate training and got into really selling their own program.  Don't get me wrong, it's a a wonderful program and system they're selling (seriously. it would make my day job a lot easier), but I just don't have that kind of cash right now.  Maybe after a couple flips....anyway, I digress....after a while of realizing I wasn't learning anymore but being sold to, i whipped out my iPad and got busy on this little gem of a TECHNO DANCE EXPERIMENT that I like to call "Dance Like You Built a Fortune."  This is my first attempt at writing a song like this, so take it easy on me.  I just couldn't resist adding a little electric guitars and acoustic guitars when I got home.  This is fixin' to be one of the songs we'll perform live in my new dance jam rock folk country trio called the Cosmic Superheroes...

This is in response to FAWM's Week 2 Challenge to use "Nonsense Words/Syllables" in a song.  I was about to get in the shower the other day when I started humming the "NA NA NA" part in my head.  I immediately turned the water off, wrapped up in a towel (it was cold!) and ran downstairs to grab my guitar.  And this whole song came out in about 3 minutes.  I was amazed.  This is my favorite song I wrote through all of the whole FAWM process.  Thank you FAWM for forcing me to write more music this month.  It's been real.  See you next February!

Originally hailing from Rhode Island, Brandon Scott McLean has been strumming the strings of a guitar since the age of seven. As a college student in Ithaca, New York, Brandon could feel the music running rampant through his veins. Going to class during the day and studying jazz at night (thanks to generous Jazz professor Steve Brown), Brandon worked hard at both school and making a name for himself musically.  After graduation, Brandon migrated South, but not just for the winter. His new found love for southern rock and country music keeps him calling Raleigh, North Carolina homebase indefinitely. Finally away from the confines of higher education, he began experimenting with ways to integrate different types of music to create a unique sound of southern hospitality with an alternative twist. Between bands Cougar Magnum, the Windsor Oaks Band, Young & New, and 'solo', Brandon has played over 1000 shows and gigs since 2008. Working up and down the east coast, he has cultivated a fairly respectable following in a few cities, especially Providence, Boston, Baltimore, and Raleigh.
