This podcast is a conversation between Merete Holm Brantbjerg and Susan Groves.
Merete is a bodyoriented trauma-therapist based in Copenhagen, Denmark,  and Susan is a Core Process Psychotherapist in Birmingham, England.

On October 10th 2020 Merete did an online presentation for the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists focusing on the inclusion of hypo-states in psychotherapy. In the presentation she mentioned how patterns of dominance and submission can be held in the body.  Shortly after this Susan invited Merete to a conversation with her on dominance, submission and social justice.

The conversation was recorded online on December 17th 2020. It lasts about 40 minutes and is quite discursive.  We didn’t have a fixed agenda and began by considering different aspects of dominance and submission. By the end, we spend time with the question:  where can support be found?  Our focus is largely on the white body and social justice as we both identify at least in part as white.
