I've been a big fan of Trivium ever since I started playing guitar. It was watching this band play that made me want to become a metal musician. 
I covered this song because it was one of the first I had ever learned. Perhaps one day I will add the vocals to it myself or search for a vocalist to do it.
The original song was played in Drop D tuning (DADGBE), my version is in Drop C# (C#G#C#F#A#D#) which is what most of Trivium's new 6-string songs are tuned to.

I love singing along to this song in the car (the band's version). I wanted to cover it and do my own vocals over it eventually. 
The guitar solo in this song is done with midi, not actual playing. This is due to be having a metal splinter in the tip of one of my fretting fingers. It happened as I finished recording the guitar parts for "Rain" by Trivium somehow while sliding down the strings. 

I will eventually upload a new version with me performing the solo myself. I'm actually really excited to record it.

A Grave Mistake | Ice Nine Kills Cover

I wrote this for a riff challenge on youtube. The drums were provided so I wrote to those specifically. I don't usually write this way but it's nice to change things up every once in a while.

I'm very pleased with how this turned out. I felt that it needed to be themed so I added police sirens with Dune 3 and clipped some police chatter to sprinkle in.

Overcome

Good Charlotte is the band that got me wanting to play guitar in the first place. My first CD of theirs was given to me by my uncle when I was about 13 or 14 years old. That definitely fueled my teen angst and helped me verbalize it. I remember playing my air-guitar to this song and many others in my bedroom with my CD player turned all the way up.
I took a few artistic liberties and put my own spin on a few of the parts.

This is a song that I wrote. It's more of a riff salad and definitely one of my favorite originals. There was nothing too crazy about this writing this song since most of it is just riffing. I will likely dissect this track eventually and write multiple songs with it's parts.

I’ve been playing guitar for roughly 16 years (off and on). I put it down for about 2 years after my first child and stopped gigging. Now, I write and record music at home. 
My biggest influences would be As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Periphery, and Ice Nine Kills.

That said, I try to sound like myself, not anyone else.

I’m always up for a collaboration with another artist of either metal, rock, pop, hip hop, punk, etc.
