Terra - Part 3- Before Dawn

Berlin-based DJ Vera presents a new ambient project entitled ‘Terra’. Consisting of three individual chapters, Terra is a musical audio play that tells the story of a night in the rainforest. Paying homage to dear planet Earth, mother nature’s unmistakeable beauty and endless peculiarities come rising to the fore. 

A sprawling journey into the great unknown, each mix takes the listener progressively through a myriad of wild and liminal spaces. Spanning all corners of ambient, avant garde, and experimental electronics, to ethno, Jazz, and beyond, Terra lavishes everything from moments of quiet introspection, spacey drones, chugging beats, hypnotic rhythms and select climactic peaks. 

Carefully woven together as a multi-dimensional tapestry of sound, scenes transition gradually between environments, moods, and states. As the night progresses, forms shift endlessly under moonlit sky, and subtle shades of every kind make their stroke before the sun breaks free once again. 

An intoxicating trip through dense jungle paths, untouched rivers and deep mountain valleys, we dive headfirst into Vera’s kaleidoscopic world of unusual creatures and bewitching natural phenomena. Uncovering the weird, forgotten, and mysterious, Terra invites the listener to co-create the rainforest as an imagined space and to discover the storyteller within. 

Terra started as an earnest musical exploration, but through collaboration and further development Vera hopes to unlock its greater potential as a communal arts platform and ongoing multidisciplinary project. With this audio play as the starting point, who knows what the next chapters will bring...

Siamo emozionati nel poter finalmente condividere con voi uno dei momenti più alti, intensi e sentiti dell'ultima edizione del Komorebi Music Festival.
Miki, artista che non ha bisogno di troppe presentazioni, ha amalgamato le nostre anime quella domenica pomeriggio di luglio: dischi senza tempo che hanno permesso di unirci, ballando, in un unico flusso continuo di energie e sorrisi.
Abbiamo vissuto totalmente ogni secondo di questo set, cavalcando l'onda di ogni suo bpm.
Grazie per averci regalato questo ricordo che, come i suoi vinili, rimarrà sospeso per sempre in quella cornice di tempo, in quella magica dimensione.

We are thrilled to finally be able to share with you one of the highest, most intense and heartfelt moments of the latest edition of the Komorebi Music Festival.
Miki, an artist who doesn't need too many introductions, blended our souls that Sunday afternoon in July: timeless records that allowed us to unite, dancing, in a single continuous flow of energy and smiles.
We fully lived every second of this set, riding the wave of its every bpm.
Thank you for giving us this memory which, like your vinyls, will remain suspended forever in that frame of time, in that magical dimension.

Tom and Ben first came into our awareness via their stella self-titled YouTube channel; a haven for sharing uncut gems to the growing masses.
Between extended sets displaying vinyl mastery & flirtatious snippets of silly production on socials, it's fair to say we were hooked by our virtual cahonies!!!

Now making ripples amidst dancefloors via their intimate London-based party series 'Splitloop'.

"Forgotten by layers of ice and time; an ancient sound system re-awakens atop a frozen glacier. It starts to hum and soft sound soon morphs into a vast and pulsating beat. Music emanates from the towering monolith and Mother Nature takes note: snow melts and great shards of ice splinter and break away, allowing vegetation to climb through the gaps.

A lost traveller stands watching in disbelief. The blizzard clears and reveals a path through the glacial labyrinth. They move quickly, with hope of finding home rekindled. Eventually looking back at the ancient relic from a distance, as the music quietens and the new green world is returned to stillness."
