The room was cold and sterile, matching the temperament of the panel that sat stony-faced across from him. He'd heard they were hard nuts to crack, that many had tried but failed to charm them. He had no idea what they were thinking as he responded to their questions, listing his attributes and accolades. They gave nothing away, barely a twitch of the mouth or a a blink of the eye. That was until he got up to leave, and with a nod of the head and an outstretched hand they welcomed him to the team. 

Georgian DJ, producer and long term resident at Tbilisi club KHIDI Vulkanski first landed on Phase Fatale's BITE imprint back in 2018 with his Science Gardens EP that explored industrial and techno. Now, he's making his return for his first long player on the label, Skeptical Answers, which pushes the boundaries of club music even further than before, surveying the spaces between electro, club techno, broken beat and IDM.

Livid Husk - Glitterrot

For more than thirty years, Ruud Lekx has been corrupting hearts and minds with his unmistakable brand of synthesizer music. Under his Rude 66 mask, this titan of electronics returns to Bordello A Parigi with twelve darkened tracks for Conditioning Consciousness. Tempos glide low in the opening incantations. From the breathy murmurings of “Magick Angels’ Invocations”, the listener is brought into Rude’s world. Shauna Lekx’s signature vocoder lyrics and blackened subject matter are central tenets, as are hauntingly delicate melodies. “The Riddler In Me” is a deep psychological journey through cable and circuit, an unsettling monologue accompanied by liquid analogue lines. BPMs are allowed to rise for the shimmering warmth of “In Exile” and in the reverb soaked “The Chariot.” But these are the outliers. Across the collection, percussion drives without ever being a central force. Instead, the focus is the bewitching and brooding compositions. Take the drugged low slung groove of “The Talisman of Algol” or the loose modulations of “Le Sagittaire”, here the listener is brought into the heart of the machines and the musician. The curtain close, “The Five Swords Of Venus In Aquarius” gathers a spread of influences, bringing them together into one piece. Synth. Soundtrack. Strings. All culminate in this superb climax, a climax to an album that broaches the boundaries between terrifying and terrific.

The technicality, grounded in contemporary songwriting, transforms into a quest for layered storytelling and a sonic aesthetic that authentically represents the artist.

Passerella, recorded over a week in the summer of 2022 by Infesta, draws from 80s synth pop, post-punk, and dark wave, infused with subconscious nods to Canzone Italiana. This raw, genuine work captures emotional intensity, presenting a dark yet relatable world. It transforms the conventional album into a musical diary, each track reflecting conflicting inner thoughts in a gentle, intimate narrative connecting the author with the listener.

Ultraviolet is defined as radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light. The main source of ultraviolet radiation on Earth is the Sun. 
So, in his second release, the New York label Samo Records, like a sun, sends to us a dose of Ultraviolet - product of collaboration from two wonderful producers and djs -  Australian born and NY based Ash Moses aka Tunnel Sings and Missy Livingston aka Moderna who currently resides in Los Angeles.
The EP includes two excellent compositions, among which, even if desired, it is difficult to single out an unequivocal winner: two very different tracks united by same mood. 
In addition to them Samo offers you remixes from the French virtuoso Markus Gibb, New York talent Willie Burns and an extra remix from the owner of the label - Facets, which is not included in the vinyl and will be attached to the release in digi format..
For today premiere i have picked up title track "Ultraviolet" because it looks like that radioactive ray - you can not touch it, but you still feel his destructive power. This is an absolute dancefloor killer, that blends a stick-in-your-head vocal with hard electro for radiantly retrofuturistic results.

PREMIERE | Tunnel Signs Feat Moderna - Ultraviolet [Samo Records] 2017

Half of the dark synthwave duo THE HUNT ,Herbert West is a French electronic producer heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s horror soundtracks. This artist tends to use vintage, analog and modular synths and It´s important to point out that he has released with the Hunt two albums through the well-known labels Giallo Disco (2014) and Bordello a Parigi (2018).
Vortice Mortale is his new project in which he mixes space disco and dark synth music.It is clear as water that Herbert West loves Italian horror movies and French disco music of the past decade considering that this work “Memento Mori” is perhaps a perfect combination of powerful beats, enigmatic passages and wicked catchy melodies.
