Bravo Tounky is a musician and wine worker from Pélussin, France, and a member of a few bands such as Sierra Manhattan, Dhavali Giri or Lento Violento. Co-founder of the independent label AB Records in 2011, he's also a resident dj on the new-born Turkish radio « Root ».

L'âtre comme l'endroit du foyer, en nous et forcément aussi quelque part. Pour de vrai, peut-être. Une hyperstition, comme une cause mais aussi un but. Être et âtre.

La Palestine est devenue notre âtre, sans pour autant devenir notre terre. C'est la seule façon d'être humain·e : affecté·es par nos affin·es, sans jamais que cela ne se transforme en usurpation, en névrose identificatoire.

Cette compilation est dédiée à nos sœurs et frères, résistant·es et défunt·es, innocent·es forcément victimes.

`Regroup` is a mix made to gather forces. It’s an attempt to make us breathe, reflect and
carefully rest before we bring out our strengths again in the current and next battles that
we need to fight, both individually and collectively. It’s a simple and humble way to
regroup and recollect, rather than galvanise. The road is long, sometimes even just in
ourselves. And i’d love if this hour of synths and beautiful sounds made by beautiful
creatures could help any of you to take a small moment to pause and let your brain

Somewhere between a de-synchronised Kraftwerk and a non-genius Mamman Sani, lies the musical essence of Bravo Tounky. Solo project of Oblio Aubert (Dhavali Giri, Sierra Manhattan, Bermudaa, ...), Bravo Tounky is an attempt to make comfy soundscapes, filled with synthy melodies, cassette tape textures and digital bleepbloops.
