im an Australian m.c who luvz the hip hop culture - I been spittin raps 4 many years. Started droppin raps at Frankston Station in the early 90's and no 1 ever said anything negative. So I continued and heard of a place in the city Called The Big Bamboo, I was a new face and welcomed, by most. Then the D.J announces in 10mins if anyone wants 2 rap - go see door chick 2 add ya name. Man I was like fuck yes, then it began and I'm seeing prolly 4 good m.cs out of at least 15 - the these 2 dudes literally say 2 me, do u have a rap? were 1 guy down......and I actually went up, joined in on their hook - heard them rhyme and now it's me - I will never forget the look on everyone's face - it was like still aswell. And I was like fuck it - and spit a full on Aussie af spit with that DAS EFX diggity mix in2 it. I felt so good, like I just nailed it - tbh I really did 4 my 1st ever mic in hand stage rap - my mic was clear, bass was loud but........it was the crowd! I got the best response from everyone all were so nice. And heaps complimentary 2 the point they were wanting me in there crew n that lol. Anyway that led 2 meeting Krissy and going on stepping 2 the AM. Krissy is literally the most positive person and loved my accent. Not long after THE FORMULA took off and I became a regular, going on every 2 or 3 weeks with new raps. Stewbakka was a legend me n him loved our V.B longies. Eventually I was invited 2 be apart of gigs with BURN legends just coz of my live raps. Sometimes I'd fill in on the phones 4 Bias if he was unavailable. Melburn hip hop gigs were loose af haha. But I've been lucky 4 someone with no product opening up 4 some big names. Also punched on with some aswell............but I never held a grudge or wore it at a badge of honour. I realised Artistic Differences is a real thing and can cancer 2 the soul. Australian Hip Hop is a strange genre in Australia but I love it and regret nothing!!! braydead 💯
