Subterranea (2024) was written with the goal of achieving the following visual with music: some kind of rock and the color purple.

Kaleido (2024) was commissioned by pianist Jon Lee as part of a new project, where compositions took inspiration from Beethoven’s Six Bagatelles, Op. 126. Kaleido was thus born from Bagatelle No. 5, named after the refraction of my musical influences heard throughout the model.

The four movements take our urbanite traveler through busy streets and traffic to nighttime walks and a glance at city lights. Each experience contains a peek into what I view as the American city landscape.
