I've created this west coast type beat with not many instruments - I found a nice synth sound in the FM8 by Native Instrument, thrown an Arpeggiator on it (I had to found out that it was in the key of F Dorian afterward :D) and the melody was there. A simple drum pattern did the rest. Do you hear Nate Dogg on this one?
