La Boum Fatale released his album 'Holygram' in April 2016 creating soundscapes and an atmosphere that vary from melancholia to euphoria. 'Lovers Dough' featuring Tellavision is a smooth fusion between a synth driven club tune that is paired with Tellavisions vocals adding a darker and drifting twist to it and are perfectly restaged by Heart Island's remix approach. 

La Boum Fatale's EP 'Holygrains' will be out on January 26th, 2017 via Sinnbus.

The Latvian-born, Tel Aviv-based artist makes wildly experimental pop that's heavily informed by underground dance music. So naturally we saw fit to pair her up with R$N Records star @c_a_r for a special release...

Today we're putting out a 'Cholera Reinterpretations' package, which features Anna taking on her favourite track from C.A.R.'s new album 'PINNED'. And what's more, you can download both remixes for free via the link above. Don't say we're not good to you!

The 'Runway Edition' plays host to Anna's own vocals, and was recently featured as the soundtrack to Gal Shenfeld's spring/summer collection 'Heroes' at Tel Aviv Fashion Week 2018.

Mexican duo Zombies in Miami is about to release their EP, Take It Off', consisting of three original cuts and a Jackie House remix, on 2MR at the end of March. Torture the Artist's exclusive, 'Where Is The Voice Of That Man On Acid' raises the question club heads and headphone listeners have been asking themselves for years and gives a musical answer to it. The disco-ish and psychedelic vibe of the track digs deep into the soul of its listeners and creates a setting that could be either rooted either at a dark and sweaty underground club or, the opposite, at an outdoor location. Still the question 'Where Is The Voice Of That Man On Acid' is not answered with words as Zombies in Miami chose the silent approach to give hints to the omnipresent wish of finding an answer. The voice of that man on acid is just not existent and leaves room to the listener to create its own mindset.

Here at Bolting Bits, we don’t always post remixes. But, when we do, you can bet its a phenomenal piece of music. Case and point, Kornel Kovacs’ dandy of a remix of Seb Wildblood’s tune “Wet Summer” on Omena Records.

In this track, you have two of the most prominent producers and label heads in the game join forces. In one corner, you have Seb Wildblood, the unapologetic jazz enthusiast from South London who runs the boundary-pushing, electronic label Church. In the other, you have Kornel Kovacs - an eclectic Swedish musician that’s known for his idiosyncratic approach to house music that exemplifies the sound coming from his label Studio Barhus (which he co-owns with Axel Boman and Petter Nordkvist).

Before listening, we did not know what to expect. The two individuals that make up this song have completely different styles. Wildblood tends to be more subdued and chilled out, whereas Mr. Kovacs resides on the more energetic and playful side of things. However, when they combine, the result lies somewhere in between - creating a song that manages to take itself seriously and be whimsical at the same time.


We do not know if it’s the changing of the seasons, but every time we listen to this remix, the anticipated warmth of Spring starts to wash over us. Every year, we always use a song to signal the beginning of the warm months ahead, and we believe we found it with this one!

But Portuguese DJ, producer and label head Pedro Martins has managed to find exactly these tracks for his label Karakter Records. His formula of success sounds simple: the tracks have to have a strong character. But not only does Pedro dig for new music but has implemented his own trademark sound. His summer remake and second remix approach of Switchdance's track 'The Black Tape' that is also featured in his latest art:cast (www.soundcloud.com/torture-the-artist/artcast-32-by-pedro-martins) is a portrayal of Pedro's perception of a laid back summer track that still captures the mysticism of both, the original and his first remix that came along with the 'Black Tape Remix EP'. As soon as the listener is soaked into Pedro's synth- and atmosphere-defining synth-pad sounds the Amsterdammer flips the switch and lets the the soundscapes escalate before returning to the original summer vibe of the remix.

Exclusive Engyn 'I Can Still Hear Her Smile (Aera Remix)'

Imagine someone sprinkled some fairy dust on a track, the outcome would be rather obvious. This someone was Berlin based producer Aera who remixed his close friend and studio neighbor Engyn and his ambient track 'I Can Still Hear Her Smile'. Using only few parts from the original Aera recorded the tambourine as well as other percussions himself. Furthermore he wrote the string parts and, of course, played the synth-sounds on top and added his Aera trademark sequence on top of the groovy bassline. The outcome is an euphoric still melancholically touched piece of art that is both: touching and relinquishing.

Venetian DJ, producer and co-label-founder Olderic has implemented a trademark sound of his own over the past decade. Having released on renowned labels such as Connaisseur Recordings, Compost Records or Siamese the passionate artist raised the bar for up and coming music that is penned by himself. Not only does Enrico, how close friends call him, work solo when it comes to productions but appreciates his 'Stereocalypse' project with Andrea Doria. According to Enrico, he will strongly focus on the aforementioned project in the future and take a break as 'Olderic', so his reinterpretation of Anton Dhouran's 'The Myth of Tarae' will be the last release under Enrico's Olderic moniker in a while. The artist's invitation for a last dance or 'The Myth of Tarae (Olderic Edition)' is built around a vibrant bass line that leaves space for vocals which are drawn on the track's introductory phase. In the following Olderic adds vigorous synth-sounds highlighting the vocal's magic to create a mutual relationship between soundscapes and singing. Additionally further percussive elements are integrated in the overall soundscape emphasizing an enduring psychedelic effect throughout the track.
