Breaking Down Mechitzahs, is simple. Unhappy with the lack of Jewish creative outlets, and the state of music in the 21st century, we strive to break down the mechitzah, the barrier, allowing Jews and non jews alike to listen to the music they've always loved and adding in an educational, and positive outlook. We span the musical spectrum from Ricky Martin to Lil Wayne, Ray Charles to Britney Spears, and so much more. We have a song for everyone, whether you're "frum," or secular, Jewish or Zoroastrian you'll find yourself singing along, and dancing to the beats.

Ruby and Zach (Zorba) grew up together since 4th grade. Playing on many sports teams together, they didn't realize their potential in the creative realm until 2007 where they were roommates in apartment 38 (double chai + 2). Working on countless songs, jingles, musicals and film ideas, Zorba one day had a stroke of inspiration when he transformed an Akon/Snoop Dogg song into a song about learning talmud (babylonian). And from then on the words kept on comin like the 10 plagues.
