Louhi (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈlou̯hi]) is a wicked queen of the land known as Pohjola in Finnish mythology and a villain of the Kalevala. As many mythological creatures and objects are easily conflated and separated in Finnish mythology, Louhi is probably an alter-ego of the goddess Loviatar.

The Digital Commandos have made a welcome home for themselves on Stamina, becoming an integral part of the fabric of the label thanks to a slew of consistently quality releases, all featuring their ultra-distinguishable sonic palette of classic freeform textures. With such a stellar catalogue of releases under their belt, and a hot-bed of talent knocking at Stamina's door of late, it felt only right to open up the DC's work to the world of remixes, which is exactly what both parts of our latest EP deliver. Heading up the Yin side, the powerhouse combo of K-Wire and Lost Faith, no strangers to the label, take on 'Rockin' Up The Mic'. Re-injecting DC regular vocalist MC Cyx' lyrics over a bouncier affair - that unashamedly blurs the boundaries with hardcore - the boys' reworking oozes crossover appeal as it whisks through pianos, rave synths and upfront supersaw melodies. Paired up to complete the release for the Yang side, we welcome back freeform royalty as Eryk Orpheus returns to remix duties, blasting firm DC favourite 'What The Radio Won't Play' into the stratosphere. A melting pot of styles underpinned by Eryk's recent trademark psy sound, this one journeys through crunchy kick drums, sub heavy breakbeats, pianos, phasey arps and bass rich tones. The moment we heard this new Skrillex/Fred Again../Flowdan fire, we knew it needed a proper JUNGLIST RINSING, and the ideas just flowed out. After one very intense writing session, we emerged from the studio saying "We just made one FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER of a REMIX!" :0
