Definitely with an Axel Foley-esque vibe to it, the idea of organisms reaching a state of dormancy - or suspended animation - to avoid environmentally unfavorable circumstances or endure prolonged deep space travel. Of course, even within this state, dramatic changes within organisms are occurring - and this song reflects some of this as well. This song has a fun solo duel where each voice takes a distinct approach, calling on melodic minor and diminished phrases.

The Highway to Nowhere is a real place just west of Baltimore, MD where there is a random stretch of highway running ~1.5 miles.
