Sarsen is from John Biddulph’s album Structures. 

Sarsen refers to ‘Sarsen Stones’ which form the basis of many stone circles and other ancient stone structures including Stonehenge and the Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial sites at Avebury. 

It fits in well with the new works John is making for release with New Reality Records, including Circle of Stones (The Nine Ladies), Doll Tor, Standing on Air (The Place Between Stones) and his forthcoming album Perambulations I. These are all part of our eARThworks series of works that encompass and encourage the exploration of space, place, time and self through music, poetry, art, performance and more.

Dreaming (Little Onion Mix) by Kev Crane

Kev Crane has been dubbed by the world’s press ‘The Singing Plumber’ but he is much more than that. Kev Crane, yes, is a plumber and yes, he sings but above all he writes, performs and records good songs. It is perhaps in stripped back unplugged versions like this one of ‘Days That Lay Ahead’ that we truly see this. 

‘Days That Lay Ahead’ also appears on Kev Crane’s debut album ‘Why Can’t I Be You?’ on New Reality Records, an album that deliberately snd brilliantly evokes the sound of the 80s. The unplugged version of ‘Days That Lay Ahead’ by Kev Crane reminds us that good songs exists and work outside of digital production values, sung accompanied by just a piano or guitar or even unaccompanied.

Kev Crane was brought up in Long Eaton and now lives with his wife Karen and dog their Harley in the village of Quorn, near Loughborough in Leicestershire, UK. He is currently still plumbing and still singing and still singing while plumbing.

Music To Paint Pictures By (Number 1) was made for a Synaesthetic Action Painting performance by artist Anna Kolosova in Essex on August 5th 2023. It was on the main stage of The New Reality Literary Rock and Roll Circus free festival in Black Notley, Essex.

This is the first of two pieces written specifically for Anna Kolosova to paint to. It was composed and recorded on the morning of the performance by Little Onion and was not heard by Kolosova until she was standing on stage ready to paint. The second piece was used for a gallery performance in Alabama and that will be released too.

Little Onion insists that the music features Anna Kolosova although she isn’t heard once in it. He says she is integral to it.
