Based on an old Manx Celebration (April 30th)& Commissioned by the Oie Voaldyn Festival, this piece of music marks the change from Winter to Summer festival, through the symbolic Black Raven which holds a special place in Manx folklore and mythology. The piece was designed to mark change for the better, working well also with Oie Houney/Hop Tu Naa the oldest unbroken tradition in the Isle of Man original which saw the bad spirits away ahead of the Winter to come.

A new Manx song inspired by perhaps the most influential figure in the last 100 years of Manx culture, Mona Douglas.

"Snaih" in Manx Gaelic means 'thread', which the composer and singer, Aalin Clague, explains in this short introduction:

"This song is about how language connects our past, present and future. The new lyrics are interwoven with the traditional weaving song 'Arrane y Fee', collected by Mona Douglas, which describes the movement of a shuttle on a loom speeding along to create a growing network of threads."
