Vocal Artist Yolanda Hall recorded this at Historic Stagville and is one of the tracks played in the gallery at my "Stagville: Black & White" exhibit that was at the NC Museum of History 1 March 2014 through 1 February 2015 and reopens next month in Fayetteville at the Museum of the Cape Fear. Watch And Pray

As I work, in addition to making photographs, I often make sound recordings.  This is one I made of the Stagville chicks.  

The two Tonys (Tony Rocha and Tony Strother) have re-established the Dominikers at Stagville, the original historic breed of chickens that lived at Stagville when it was a plantation.  Both Tonys (lovingly known as "Old" and "New" Tony, respectively) have been extraordinarily helpful with my Stagville project and a delight, always making my day brighter when we work together.  Thank you Tony & Tony!
