--- JOURNEY MIX - Vol. 2 (Vibes) ---

The JOURNEY MIX series is a collection of mixes comprised of a variety of different genres and vibes of music that move me, both new and old. The collection symbolizes the journey that I've been on as an artist, as well as showcases all the different styles of music that have influenced me over the years.

Volume 2 is all about the vibes. Call it what you want: chill beats, lo-fi, downtempo, dreamtempo, chillwave, deep, etc - this mix is filled with tunes that just make you feel good. Some parts relaxing, some parts are emotional, and other parts have more energy... But the real purpose of this mix is to bring you on an hour and a half long vibey melodic journey and slow things down a bit. Perfect music for a warm sunny summer afternoon or a sunset drive with the windows rolled down. Also, a great late night mix after a busy night or a Sunday/Monday recovery mix after a long weekend. Regardless of when or where you’re listening from, I really hope you enjoy Volume 2 of my JOURNEY MIX series as much as I enjoyed making it. Cheers!

Brendon Moeller is a boundary-pushing producer whose sound is rooted in dub and techno and incorporates subtle undertones of jazz, shoegaze and afrobeat.

Brendon grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he learned piano and drums, finding particular inspiration in the music of artists such as Fela Kuti, My Bloody Valentine, De La Soul and Kraftwerk.

However, it was not until 1993, when Brendon moved to New York City, that his own individual style began to develop. With NYC as his base, he has worked with several prominent labels and collaborated with artists like Mikey Dread, Speedy J, Mutabaruka and MATRiXXMAN.

With dozens of EPs, singles and albums to his name, Brendon’s love for experimenting with sound has created an endless source of inspiration to continuously self-reflect and advance his music. Brendon is consistently striving to reinvent himself and skillfully influence the dub scene in the process.
