Oliver Huntemann's beloved globetrotting mix series PLAY! is set to touch down for its highly- anticipated fifth edition in Vienna. Having journeyed through four of the world's best nightclubs on four continents, PLAY! 05 is the most recent glimpse into Oliver's DJ mindset: the tracks he's playing, the stories he's telling, the journey he is undertaking, and the ever important relationship he has with the dancefloor.
The PLAY! series has provided Oliver Huntemann a unique platform – allowing him to showcase the tight, nuanced techno and tech-house that he’s pioneered over the last two decades. Following the highly effective format of live recording Oliver performing at some of the most iconic clubs in the greatest cities of the world, all PLAY! editions also include a little something extra: a track created exclusively for the compilation, and named for the city the mix is recorded in.
The A-side "Schnitzel" is a deeper darker shade of the classic Huntemann sound, with long synth trails and inky tones, perfect for diving deep into the after hours, while the closing track of PLAY! 05's first half, "Vienna" takes the flip side stage on this two-track EP. With its chant-along robotic vocals of "Freak Out / Exhale", and subtly minimalist tech house tempo, it is an example of a master slowly building towards a peak.

Bringing an understated counterpoint to the EP is Recondite’s subtle yet rich sounding take on Strange Days as he reworks it into a soft and sexy trip that seems to take you on a journey outwards and inwards — all while standing still in that place where words have no meaning. This native Italian & Berlin based duo needs no introduction. Mind Against started in 2011 and barely 3 years later they are on the crown jewels of the Life and Death label after showing their incredible studio skill. In 2012 and 2013 they also composed several remixes for, amongst others, WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy, Green Velvet on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings, and Vakant.

Mind Against’ sound is very difficult to describe, but we dare to say that the mixture between house and techno appears to sound very deep, trippy and provocative. When they play it’s a sure thing that one can lose themselves in the music and travel to distant universes while dancing.
