method:  I had come across the industrial term ‚halbzeug‘ which refers to pre-fab material that is later worked and adapted to create components of larger machinery. A length of rebar is an item of ‚halbzeug‘. Pondering the human implications of this term (you never ‚arrive‘ at a potential full-skill level) I wrote the poem now titled ‚halbzeug I‘. Being unhappy about the cold-sweat level of existential despair in that poem, I set about writing halbzeug II with an altogether different approach. I am glad to see that ‚halbzeug II‘ has evolved into a poem about liberation and human dimensions. Thus relieved, I created a soundbed, mostly with virtual instruments, later adding voice and ‚live‘ guitar, played through the foxy tones pedal. d minor throughout.
