So here is an Old Skool mix full of classic tracks and remixes from the most prolific and talented UK Garage producers Sunship (Ceri Evans) and Bump & Flex (Grant Nelson). I was browsing through my garage collection and realised that these two producers have had such a huge impact on the UKG scene (also huge impact on my personal taste in music) that I decided to put together a compilation of my favourite tracks.. Selection wise there are the obvious tracks but I've also included some tracks that you might not have heard before or might have totally forgotten about.

So for this mix I chose to put together my favourite tracks and transitions from previous mixes..

I decided to go back and put some more work into this old skool mix. I felt that given the calibre of tracks I selected, the mix didn't do as well as I had hoped. So here is my "definitive" version of Jungle Drum and Bass mix #9! I have swapped out a few tracks, shuffled up the track order and changed certain transitions. I'm much happier with the set now and I really hope I mixed it well enough that people enjoy these proper old skool tracks. This mix contains tracks released in the mid to late 90s. I've tried to put the biggest and best tunes that I personally listened to back then into just one almost 2 hour long mix for your listening pleasure (hopefully).  👍

Okay so first of all... BIG UP all the Garage men and Garage girls still raving to the Old Skool UKG 20+ years later!! So with this mix it's definitely back to the classics! If you are looking for new music then you will have to look elsewhere because this is all about the biggest tunes from back in the day. To be honest a lot of these tracks have been played over and over but personally they never get old to me..  There were so many tracks I wanted to put into this mix that I've ended up having to split it into 2 parts (roughly 3 hours of pure classics in total). Sorry people but to be honest the 1st version of this mix was pretty bad, sloppy mixing with poor choice of transitions.. Hence why I decided to take it down and put some more work into it. It just wasn't up to my recent standards and also I didn't want to disappoint my UKG subscribers.
I've shuffled up the track selection, cut a few tracks out and added some others. Admittedly there are some noticeable mistakes towards the end of the mix but overall I think it's a vast improvement. I hope my subscribers agree!

it flows really nicely and sounds great through my system (especially with the bass cranked up!) so thought I'd share it with you all. The first half is

Just a nice selection of bangers for the bank holiday weekend! The set is made up of mainly recent and some oldish tracks. Also there's a couple of mistakes / rough transitions in this one. I ran out of time for this weekend and out of a few recordings this version turned out to be the best. If you think it's too rough be sure to let me know. Reggae Ragga Jungle Drum and Bass Mix #13 New 2024

So here we have a selection of some of my personal favourite late 90s Jungle Drum & Bass tracks. Lots of bouncy basslines for the old skool ravers. Listening back to this mix it's a very similar style to the tracks Nicky Blackmarket used to rinse back in the day. I guess he had a huge impact on my music taste. Also I've got to pay tribute and say R.I.P. to MC Fats and MC Stevie Hyper D.  
One more thing.. I just wanted to say I'm buying a quality turntable soon and re-digitalizing my record collection because my current digital copies are crap. The BPM is all over the place and it's very noticeable. Hopefully I can get that sorted this summer. Thanks and Happy Weekend People!

2 Decades of Ragga Jungle.

So here we have a selection of some of my personal favourite tracks from over the past 2 decades! Just over one and a half hours of nice ragga Jungle! There are some rough transitions here and there but overall I think it flows well. I recorded this mix 5 times and this one was the best out of them all (believe it or not) haha. 

I feel I need to apologise to my subscribers/followers because for the past year my heart just hasn't been into mixing. Honestly I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find inspiration for new sets. Personally I'm not really feeling the majority of the latest tracks being released. Also, as much as I love getting good feedback on my sets and knowing that other people share my passion for the music I mix, there isn't much incentive for me to spend loads of my free time practicing and uploading to Youtube/Soundcloud. Then there's the changes to the Youtube algorithym! Damn! These changes have literally destroyed my overall views/subscribers twice over the past 12 months and I'm not sure if my channel can bounce back again.

Anyway I've decided that from now on I will upload less often but hopefully the future mixes will be of a better quality. Sorry for the long rant! Ragga Jungle Drum & Bass Mix #14 Halloween 2024

Wishing a BIG Happy New Year to each and every one of you! We are fast approaching the end of 2024 and ready to welcome in the new year! Most of these tracks I've selected for this set are 25+ years old now! WOW! I can't believe how fast the years are flying by... Anyway, here we have a nice selection of old skool UKG to enjoy while seeing in the new year. There are loads of absolute bangers in this one, very nostalgic set. I started working on this mix a few weeks ago but I decided to make some last minute changes yesterday and consequently I ran out of time to get a decent recording. Overall though I still think it's a solid mix, just a couple of transitions that are, in my opinion, a little rough. I'm hopeful that my subscribers will, nevertheless, enjoy the selection. Also please note some of the tracks are unfortunately poor sound quality so apologies for that. With that said,

NYE 2024 - 2025 UKG Old Skool Classics / UK Garage

So here in the UK Spring has finally arrived and the weather is nice. I thought I'd share this new ragga DnB mix with you all. It's much shorter than my normal sets but I think it flows well and I really like the selection. Overall I think it's quite a chill mix. Anyway I hope people enjoy the reggae jungle vibes. xx

So here's my first mix. 20mins of absolute classic 90s drum and bass with track listing. The mixing isn't as tight as I wanted it and there are a few mistakes (and one big one!) but overall not bad considering I've only been playing a short time.
