The sound is pure Americana, blending Brett Perkins’ California Country style with largely humorous lyrics culled from his family’s Kentucky hillbilly roots.

The Copenhagen based band has entertained festival audiences in Denmark, Greenland and Sweden since 2011, building a solid fan base, Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederick among them, and significant airplay along the way – including a record five songs added to Danish National Radio from their twelve song 2017 debut ‘Put A Fork In Me, I’m Done’ album, which clocks in at under 30 minutes of fun loving, free wheeling tracks inviting listeners to embrace their inner hick. 

BACKGROUND

  Preachers front man Brett Perkins has been a regular fixture on the Danish music scene since 1997, with national airplay on four album releases and numerous co-written releases by established Danish artists, including the Top 10 debut single for Sony artist Mads Langer.
Perkins’ songs appear on over twenty commercial releases, as well as numerous film and television placements and international song contest wins.

He’s also the founder of the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival and Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats.

2023 includes new recordings, tour dates and multiple songs continuing to receive international airplay, on the heels of song placements on MTV's Road Rules and Denmark's 'Anna Pihl' series, a #1 co-written DK single and two 1st Place international songwriting competition wins in the last few years (Great American, Pop Category and Australian, International Category). 

I also continue to lead annual Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats & producing Songwriter Festivals in Idyllwild/California, Copenhagen/Denmark, Galway/Ireland and Tuscany/Italy.
