This song is basically about not doing things you know keep hurting you, and when that final resolve actually comes. When you finally say "No! This is the last time!" and it actually is...that is a different feeling than all the other times you said that same phrase.

An up tempo song with a dark vibe, until the chorus lifts it into the light. I also dig the machinery sounds coming out of the breakdown. Hope ya like it!

The Ride

This is a heavy grooving blues rock tune. I love the overall vibe of it. The song is about getting through a dark and painful period in my life. The likes of which Id never experienced, dealt with, or felt every before.

Every Day

Brett Spaulding has been in the Canadian music scene for over a decade as a guitarist for hire. In 2018 he released his first solo album “Livin to play” and is set to release its follow up “Breakless Heart” in early 2023. He takes his sound from a mix of his influences including The Beatles, John Mayer, The Black Keys, The Rolling Stones and many others, while pushing to find his own unique voice.
 
With his band “Brett Spaulding & The Psychic Spies” Spaulding puts on a high energy show, engaging crowds with his smooth voice, melodic and rhythmic guitar playing, all centered around great songs. In 2015 Spaulding was awarded “Guitar Player of the Year” by the Calgary Blues Music Association.
