Brezhnev's Medals spits in the eye of fear and loathing in a brutally poetic bloodletting, a ritual to exorcise demons through the miracle of pure punk passion, spewing forth in a LP entitled ASSUME THE POSITION...WITH BREZHNEV'S MEDALS. David Buchanan's (Admiral Cockburn) primitive and cheeky riffs accompany lead singer Paul Papadeas (Euripides Pantzov), who bravely bares a naked tortured soul that fears it will never know true love in a world colonized by transaction.   With the addition hot bass player Elle (The Bloody Queen), and the merciless, militant drumming of Brian Dove (Vladimir Poopin'), a ritual to exorcise our demons is born.  From nihilistic despair and dark humor about romantic rejection within a banal, capitalist realm,  BREZHNEV'S MEDALS gives birth to raw celebration in a Tesla shock of second wave art punk imbued with equal parts brutality, poetry and humanity.
