I was invited to join the Tuesday morning lineup of Bubbles & Bass, Burning Man 2023. It was my first time DJ'ing at a camp that's a the top of my list of sound camps at Black Rock City.

It was a truly humbling honor to be asked to be a part of their gift this year. And this is my favorite set I've played yet. While I didn't record it live, I did record the set of songs I played once I got back to DC.

Bubbles & Bass 2023

Accidentally ended up with a second set at Ashram Galactica after scheduled DJ no-showed.  The Gilded Lily was already packed from a wedding beforehand, and I switched off from double-duty DJ/Bartending to go full-on and pace the crowd to a mellower vibe leading into the night's main event.

I wrote and produced these tracks and it was a real highlight to perform them live. The set includes a few samples from the following (in no particular order) ...Flowdan (vocals), Strange Ranger (vocals), Natalie Imbruglia (vocals), Nirvana (guitar), Selena Gomez (vocals), Skrillex (bassline), Fred Again.. (vox sample), Lana Del Rey (vocals), Bud Bronson & the Good Timers (guitar), and... well, I hope I haven't forgotten anyone :) Such a blast and also really emotional to play this live for Coach, CTRL Z, Dance, Koala, Flip, the Skywalkers, and each one of you that was there and also those there from the beginning at Lake Powell haha. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! OXOXOXOX

played a handful of impromptu and playa-magical sets on axo at burning man this year, and every song on this mix brings up memories of dancing, smiling, and hugging with our axo fam, along with other friends old and new.
travel delays, extra a/v work getting the art car ready for prime time, and the crazy weather prevented me from doing much other than improvising sets full of party bangers, which seems to have resulted in some fun being had.   maybe this is a "had to be there" kinda set, maybe it's fun anywhere.  well, heeerrree we goooooo!

It was Friday evening and it had already been raining for hours. The mud had arrived and we were knee deep in it. But it didn't stop our asses from dancing ✊😎. No Mud, NO LOTUS!!!! 💩🪷

Warning that the audio here is pretty rough. Something went wrong with the REC out on the mixer during the set because when I listened to the output in headphones it sounded fine.

We have a secondary backup recording that hopefully sounds fine, but I won't have access to that for some time. In the meantime I couldn't resist but post this so y'all could relive this moment sooner than later. 

Also super happy that I got to play my own produced track during this set. KICK DRUM by Bobby Lyte (the second track) has been out for a while, but I finally got to play it live on the playa this year 🙌🏽.

Female dj duo, hailing from San Diego, CA, serving up unique sultry vibes to satisfy all your house cravings. Their song libraries feature everything from sexy bass lines to vibrant vocals. In 2022 alone, these ladies have played at the EgoTrip opening night at Burning Man, numerous vibey daytime Church of Music events, as well as at Spin Nightclub in San Diego. Their goal with their sound is to create an environment where the audience feels the freedom to connect with themselves and with each other through dance and music.
