The 33rd installment of Housebrew Sessions is brought to you by me. I started loving House the same way everyone else who loves House did. This place was not created as a special place that does not exist elsewhere, but rather a location where I can express my love of house and promote the DJs who show me what I love in a different and exciting way. I'm particularly interested in what the world thinks about this genre and because of this my mission is to find DJs from around this plane who share the passion. It always fascinates me to actually listen through music how connected we all are.

Hard hitting beats, soulful melodies, wacky sounds...you name it. We are all attracted to something because it means something. To me, House Music is engrained in my soul for whatever reason and I will always stand by it.

In the second installment of the Housebrew Sessions series I have the huge honor of bringing the man who brought phat sounding Jackin' Swing House to the next level in the 2010's. Since then, Stranger Danger has brought that chuggy bass flavor to pretty much any style of track he produces. Catch him on prominent labels such as Cabbie Hat, Juiced Music, Emby and many more. A master selector and producer, you can expect this here dude to keep making major waves in the underground house music scene for as long as he is in the ring. As his bio states, he is just getting started. 


"Dominic, AKA Stranger Danger, has been a part of the underground music scene since 1992. Going from house dancer, to promoter, to DJ, and now producer, Danger has followed a natural progression for those who love House Music. Having a grandfather who was a Baptist preacher and a dad in a funk band, Danger's love for music started early in life. Since his first rave in the early 90's, Danger soaked up the eclectic diversity in the Bay Area and grew to love and appreciate House Music for its energy and community, as well as its soulful healing and message. As a DJ, Danger runs the gamut from deep rich vocals and moody chuggy beats to the occasional jack tune. As a producer, he makes swingy and or deep tracks, but is looking to do some big room vocals in the future. If you are still reading, I have the pleasure of bringing you Erik Bo all the way from France with this pure vinyl set! Since 1998, His productions and mixes have never failed to bring not only that funk and soul we love, but real FUN in ways you sometimes least expect. A true born entertainer, it appears that Erik selects and produces tracks with the sole purpose of putting a smile on your face.

Since 2009, Erik Bo manages the Funk Mansion music label which has signed most of the best artists of the Jackin House scene, like Scrubfish, Anhanguera, Sonny Fodera, Rescue, and Jackin Box to name a few.

Boy did this mix hit hard. DJ Bacy in the house with a hard hitting Deep Tech mix that will rattle you to the core if you pay attention. Its hard to envision soul from such beats, but Bacy weaves a nice story with her selection that will leave you satisfied yet yearning for more. 

I have to publicly thank her for this introspective mix. It is rare for a DJ to put their music where their heart it is.

It was the most magical environment I’d ever been a witness to. Everyone was happy and loving. So much laughter and silliness. I noticed the way everyone felt the music at the same exact time, DJ and the crowd. It was a beautiful sight. 

What started as a much-needed hobby, turned into hanging out with the greatest people all the time. Dancing together & laughing together. DJing together. Repeat. For years and years. Seeing the sunrise over Lake Tahoe. Over and over. House parties turned into playing in public, with the continuous support of all. One of us had a show, We were all there to dance. Miss DJ Lucky and I became the best friend duo, Learning and playing together whenever we could. Always having the guidance and support of our male dj friends. I now live for the moments of “remember when we were ____ (insert fabulous place we’ve danced) and you dropped that one track, and I was like “f yeah!” Because I felt it too. 

I have had a ton of fun playing all around the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco, Boise, Burning Man, in an Airplane Hangar, but I am still a sucker for those magical House parties. ALL because of house music, I made friendships that shaped the rest of my life, I live for moments on the dance floor with my people."
