He writes from the points of view of his own life experiences and moods, bringing a fresh new perspective and exciting sound design to his music. With many years under his belt producing tracks for his aliases THE ELEMENT, Z.A.K and more, Zy now takes the step of producing and releasing under his own name.

With many a release within the Electro-House genres as THE ELEMENT winning several remix competitions for DIMMAK, SPINNIN & CR2, he has also had a string of charted releases hitting the Top 100 on Beatport. 

Zy will now be concentrating on releasing quality House & Techno, and has already released music on labels such as ICONYC, DIMMAK, Beatfreak Recordings, Krafted, Blackhole Recordings, Perfecto and more.

Matt Black - Resonate Together (May 2024)

Electronic music has been a main artery of KØAL's life since his first warehouse party in Seattle back in 1995.  The energy, the people, and the music instantly made an impression that has never quit.  The West Coast sounds of Donald Glaude, Wicked Records, DJ Dan, Hardkiss Music, Jeno, Grayhound Recordings and Garth were big influences early on and his exposure quickly grew to the sounds and styles of international DJs  by going to the music store every week to see what CD imports they had from labels like Renaissance Records, Ministry of Sound, and Global Underground.  Not long after that his friends bought a set of 1200s.  Taking monthly trips to Nomad Records whenever there was money to spare to buy records and return back to the Big House to play them out until the sun came up. And the rest is history...

Listening to CDs, mixing vinyl, and going to clubs every week has helped form his sound of deeper bass driven tracks that lean on the darker side compared to others, but carry a bassline that makes you hunch over and get your ass to the ground.
