Tranquility 101

This track is a little less "in your face" and makes the drum loops a lot more subtle. I like the randomized bass a lot too in all three parts. I used the brilliant Korg Wavestate and Modwave soft synths, the Korg prophecy updated from the 90s, and again the PS-3300 from Cherry Audio. I'm hooked on soft synths, especially Logic Pro where I can write my music in staff notion. Awesome sauce!

I’ve been composing since I was very young, 7 to be exact. When I wasn’t musically inclined I wrote prose: poems, books, and the like. Then everything changed. I discovered the 8-bit micros of the day in the UK.

I’d walk miles across town to watch my friend Neal code on his BBC Micro. That was it, I was hooked, I knew I wanted to be a game programmer. My big break came when I got to work on Populous II for the Amiga. I moved to the US and worked on a ton of cool games like Area 51 and Doom 4! Totally cool. Now I do all my own modeling, rigging, UVing, and engine dev for every platform I can think of. The rest of the time I’m back to my roots: writing books (I have 5) and composing a song every few days.
