Julian Wood the label's head honcho has been selecting for nearly 10 years and the record label has been a follow-up of his passion for being behind the decks. Recently he has moved to Sydney where he plans to meet more crew and release more music.

In this Bloop series he will be showcasing tunes from the label, recent music he's been vibing, his go-to's from the vault and edits and sounds of his own. Juliann Spercel, born in São Paulo, is the name behind Jula. Driven by a deep passion for music, he decided to embark on his career in 2020, encouraged by DJ friends who recognized his potential. With an extensive collection of music spanning from house to techno, and a strong affinity for the underground scene, Jula is able to cater to diverse audiences with varying musical tastes within the electronic music realm.

Having performed at notable venues such as Nola Bar, Coffee Shop, Heavy House, Saltas e Tapas, Kudoshiba Izakaya, and Lion Rolling Circus, Jula has spent the past three years dedicated to studying the dancefloor and understanding what resonates with the audience at each event. This valuable experience has made it easier for him to connect with the crowd during his performances, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Luca Abayan joins forces with Nightcolours to release his brand new Prisma EP. Comprising two heavyweight original proggers and remixes from Tonaco and Ayan.

Prisma is a snarling Prog monster. Stuffed to the brim with aggressive and very moody sound design, floaty ethereal vocals drift effortlessly creating an absolute monster. On remix duties is one of our favourite producers Tonaco. Taking things on a groove tip full of atmosphere and intricate percussion, it’s another winner from Tonaco.

Next up is Reset, a driving number sprinkled with delicate melodics and nagging synth lines. It’s another floor focussed destroyer. Bringing a different perspective on remix is Ayan who delivers a bubbling, glitchy wonder with just the right amount of grit 🙂
