eine seltsame Stimmung (oder nenne ich es Energie?) liegt in der Luft und irgendwie wollte dieses Stück einfach raus aus mir...
Angefangen hat alles mit dem Spontangesang "Ich hab nen Knall und manchmal macht (d)er Bumm", was in diesem Moment erschreckender Weise sehr passend schien...

a strange mood (call it energy?) is in the air and for some reason, this piece wanted to be realized... 
It all started with spontaniously singing a line that unfortunately can hardly be translated properly - basically it is a slang word for craziness ("Knall"), which also translates to a sudden loud noise, which is used in the second part: "Bumm" - it made all very much sense at the moment, which is a bit disturbing, to be honest...

In fact it's 2 scenes from Kurosawa's movie that I merged. In the first, the inhabitants of the slum play cards while singing a refrain. In the second, the same decide to spend a night of drinking to forget the recent worries. Not that the song needed an instrumental support, it was rather an opportunity to review this pretty charivari inspired by Nô theater.

En fait il s'agit de 2 scènes du film de Kurosawa que j'ai fusionné. Dans la première les habitants du taudis jouent aux cartes en entonnant une ritournelle. Dans la deuxième, les mêmes décident de passer une nuit de beuverie pour oublier les tracas récents. Non pas que la chanson avait besoin d'un support instrumental, c'était plutôt une occasion de revoir ce joli charivari inspiré du théâtre Nô.

My linux won't boot so I'm presently forced to use Windows, and because of the bug in Soundcloud's system my account is all messed up when I don't use a VPN to connect which I am unable to do now... trying to get help from my VPN provider.  Because of this, and because I started working very long days I will be less present here.  Sorry, I'm trying.

What I wrote below was heart felt but presumptuous and pretentious.  I would have to not be stupid myself to be allowed to claim such a thing.  More importantly though, I don't believe it is correct or accurate.  These people are probably not stupid but just don't care.  Justice is a collective thing and many if not most people seem to live in bubbles.  It is perhaps economic oppression which is responsible, they just don't have the resources, the time, the energy to be concerned about what lies behond that bubble.  It used to be fine but there's this thing they call globalization which makes this increasingly impractical or impossible.

mid January 2024:
Justice and vengeance are not the same.  Apparently most people are too stupid to see the difference.  Unfortunately it is not something unique to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and not unique to group conflicts.

What happened to intelligence?  Aren't we supposed to be the "intelligent" specie.
