Over the past three years, Nots has been writing, recording and playing in Memphis, Tennessee. A longtime collaboration between Natalie Hoffmann (guitar) and Charlotte Watson (drums), Nots has evolved into it's wildest incarnation yet. Featuring Madison Farmer on bass and Alexandra Eastburn on synthesizer, Nots follow up their first two singles on Goner Records with their guitar-driven, synth-laden debut LP "We are Nots." Recorded in the summer of 2014 in Memphis by Doug Easley, "We Are Nots" is OUT now on Goner Records.

"There's a constant post mortem + excavation of the Memphis music underground by vultures of both the Euro and American varieties. Bands form, toil and scheme, mutate, play and record only to wither away in the seemingly unrelenting wall of indifference. 'End of The Night' is the first single from A Place to Bury Strangers’ upcoming EP, Hologram. Released on APTBS’s newly formed label, Dedstrange, it’s a sonic return to the band's most dangerous sound. Bending fuzz guitars wrap themselves around a sonic story of betrayal and friendships destroyed, revealing an intimacy and attitude that is distinctly A Place to Bury Strangers. Debts are paid to the band's influences and it sounds like a biologically enhanced MBV being thrown into the futuristic and disturbing world of Philip K Dick.  “End Of The Night” serves as an abstract mirror to the moment we live in. Written and recorded during the on-going global pandemic and in the midst of the decline of civilization, “End Of The Night” is a sonic vaccine to the horrors of modern life.
